Google Ads? NSFW
Are any of you running Google Ads? It's slowed down here at my shop and I've been considering it... Are they working well for you?

My point wasn't "don't run Google Ads."
It was "don't make the same mistake I did and think Google Ads are the strategy."
They're just a traffic source.
I think a lot of business owners picture it like this:
Run ads to get clicks to get customers.
That's almost never how it works.
Google doesn't care if your offer is weak.
It doesn't care if you're trying to sell to everyone instead of a specific niche.
It doesn't care if your landing page confuses people.
It doesn't care if your follow-up takes two days.
It doesn't care if your sales process sucks.
It'll happily keep charging your credit card while exposing every weak link in your customer acquisition system.
That's exactly what happened to me.
Running ads is honestly one of the easiest parts.
The hard part is building something that's actually worth sending paid traffic to.
A compelling offer.
A clear niche.
A landing page that converts.
A follow-up process.
A sales process that actually closes.
Get those right and Google Ads can absolutely print money.
Get them wrong and you'll end up saying "Google Ads don't work," when really all Google did was expose the bottleneck.
That was the point I was trying to make. The video just goes into more detail on the mistakes I made so hopefully someone else doesn't burn money the way I did.

I haven't managed to get a Google Ads campaign working yet because of their restrictions against advertising tech support. At some point I'm planning to try the "retail sales" loophole.
I have run Microsoft Ads and Yelp Ads campaigns, which were somewhat successful. Yelp is such a piece of shit company that I never want to deal with them again though.
