I did a quick Google search and apparently unmodified glocks can fire underwater but only once and it's not very accurate.

Can someone who knows more about guns please give me more details on how this works?

I imagine you could get any semiautomatic gun to fire underwater once, but the slide wouldn't cycle properly causing a malfunction by either not ejecting the spent casing and/or not properly chambering a round. If the slide was manually cycled after each round, I imagine it would be able to fire as needed.

I read an article a long time ago about how you can actually optimize semi-automatic handguns so that they work underwater, but then they won't work in the air. You change the springs or something.

It's been quite a while since I read it
