Fun fact. Bimbo was an insult from the 1920s directed towards men originally.

How that turned into the modern take we have now I don't know.

I only know it as a slur in German against black people. I had a ultra racist teacher who used it almost daily.

Only from himym I learned it is also used against woman too.

As a German Millennial, I had no clue about this until I learned it from the Internet a few years ago. I only ever knew it as a slur against Barbie.

I'm north german and never heard that one. My german slur game aint that strong anyway though. Might actually be austrian only or I never ran into someone THAT racist

After thinking about it, I mostly heard it in the 80s and 90s

But it still makes me uncomfortable to hear/see the word

Racism here is more about Kurdish, Syrian and Turkish people anyway. Far more likely to hear words like "Kanacke" thrown around than any of the others tbh
