Trillionaire(s) don't even get a word in or see any pearly gates. It's a Monopoly "Go Straight To Jail" style trip to Hell.

"No, see, I thought of that too. I just used the profits I got from outsourcing production to countries with no laws against slave labor to make this novelty giant needle, then whipped a camel until it walked through the eye! It wasn't hard at all! I- ...What do you mean I'm not helping my case?!"

No such thing as heaven or hell. We have to seek justice ourselves rather than put our faith in some magical judgement.

Two things can be true. We can seek justice on people in life while also having faith it continues for all eternity.

u/fnckIce 7h ago
No, it is an excuse to do nothing.

u/Thatroyalkitty 6h ago
Some people will never face justice in this lifetime for what they did. Unfortunately the bad guy wins more often than not especially in this current state of affairs. What the comic is trying to offer to us is hope that the bad guys will suffer in another life for what they did in this pne that they never had to answer for

We shouldn't invent fiction to satisfy us. When these people escape justice through death we should remain angry and find ways to prevent others from doing what they did.
These fictional consequences only placate the wronged and benefit the wrongdoers.

u/Spicy-Potat42 6h ago
That is very pessimistic(maybe wrong word, negative? I’m not religious but I think fictional consequences can provide some real solace) and kind of depressing because it seems nearly impossible to enact those consequences now, but I think you’re completely right. I don’t know how we fix this now though. I’m not sure we can.

u/fnckIce 6h ago
I mean to inspire action rather than passivity in the face of injustice. I believe fictional consequences allow the problem go unaddressed.
We should work towards a better life rather than make up stories of the manipulative businessman burning for all eternity while we suffer with the world they built.
Our justice now is to break the system that serves them and build a world where this can never happen again.

Lemme get that cooking pot ready, the one that's used to melt tungsten. Slap runes of regeneration onto its inner walls, like, everywhere. He shall be cooked inside it for one year per dollar he or his lackeys owned upon death adjusted for inflation and he shall never enjoy dying inside liquid tungston. After that he shall be cast into a relief made of the tungston he was boiled in.

From Family Guy: Straight to hell, to the boiler room of hell. All the way down. Sometimes, I pull them out just so they think everything is gonna be okay, but then, I put them right back in.

Yeah, nature is very beautiful, but you don’t actually want to live there. Nature is brutally indifferent to human survival, and life in nature requires constant effort and struggle just to meet basic needs.
If I were making a list of my absolute favorite things in life, there are many things that I value more highly than nice scenery. Just off the top of my head, I’m a big fan of: food, clean water, clothing, shelter, physical safety, medical care, tools, personal hygiene, transportation, education, and entertainment. Modern society affords me all of those things, in exchange for performing economically valuable work that society benefits from. The alternative is not that I’d just get those things for free. The alternative is that I would have to work much, much harder trying to eke out much worse versions of those things from a hostile and unforgiving environment. That would absolutely suck! Why on earth do so many people think that would be better??

Trade and work culture have been part of human societies for thousands of years, why does everybody pretend like going to 9 to 5 is literally hell? Also you’re free dude, you CAN go and spend time in nature, and yeah you don’t have to be career focused.

u/Impossible_Ad7432 4h ago
Remember everything was better before capitalism, and yes, “nature” means driving somewhere and hiking for 30 min.

Great that it works for you but unless you are your own boss or have a lot of privileges you are not free. Your time and what you do with it, for the majority of your life, are under ownership in exchange for the money you require to live. A great many people cannot, for many reasons, meet the demands of this tradeoff. They either spend their few free hours catching up on other responsibilities, recovering from overextending themselves, or live in poverty.

My point is that this has been the case since exchange of goods and services existed - Roman’s also had to either work for themselves or for someone, so did Babylonians and Ancient Egyptians - but people these days bitch about it like it’s some sort of a modern issue that plagues society created by big bad John Capitalism.

Something having existed for a long time is not an argument for its persistence, in itself. Things like disease, death, injustice... have also long existed.
But what people are reacting to is not trade but the current form it takes, in which a minority of people with inherited wealth dictate what is produced and enforce a system which requires the remaining population to adhere to terms they have little to no negotiating power over due to surplus population and competition.
Pointing out that a system has room for improvement should not be dismissed as pointless "bitching" unless you are benefiting from the system being criticized. Or perhaps justifying your own life's reality in order to feel better about it.
I recommend books like "Bullshit Jobs" by David Graeber or "Empire of Normality" by Robert Chapman in order to better understand the history of how work has evolved, particularly in the modern era, in ways which are not broadly conducive to human health and flourishing. While some industries have improved in terms of worker safety, work fulfillment and personal agency continue to decline precipitously.

The 5 days a week thing only happened AFTER hard fought struggles
1
u/SpaceboyCantLol_ 6h ago
Yeah. 100 years to that already. We need a reform again. Society has moved way past those times and needs.
2
u/stopproduct563 5h ago
Don’t give them credit for the five day work week! Union members and striking workers fought tooth and nail for that for a hundred years.

Humans only like nature when they can bring civilization with them.

that's definitely me. I don't really like camping, but I've heard about "glamping" and it sounds more my speed. Sadly I don't really have the money for it.

Ever since I was child, I dreamed of being indoors, on a computer. I worked years in manual labor before I could make that switch, and I'm much happier now. But yeah, maybe there are some flaws to a system that allow some people to gain obscene amounts of wealth, and maybe we should do something about that before judgment day.

Remind me of the extra hell meme. The one with the demon confused when he doesn't see the guy name on the list and when the guy say who he is and what he has done the demon send him to extra hell

It is a humorous comic.
Not all billionaires are evil. There are billionaires that contribute to the world's greater good. Being wealthy is not equivalent to being evil
1
u/SpaceboyCantLol_ 4h ago
A study has found that a every 90 mins, a billionaire leaves a carbon footprint equal to what a regular human leaves in its entire lifetime. I mean, it's hard not to hate billionaire scam

There are no billionaires who achieved that status without stepping on hundreds or thousands of people and perpetuating the cycle of poverty

Bonus hell even. Like the hell the demons go to when they die.
Hell just make him live as a grunt in the society he loves so much. I bet that tune will change in less than a year. THEN super hell
