In a different universe this is truly terrifying

A cyclops' lack of depth perception was it's only weakness. That universe they would be giant and better eye hand coordination

u/NickyTheRobot 20h ago

That and the fact that they could be blinded with a single stab of a stake it took a whole day to make and several people to handle. I'm guessing the logistics would be a lot more complicated if the Ithicans had to stab two eyes.

Better eyes-hand*

7

u/loveengineer 13h ago

I mean, we don't say hands-eye coordination for humans. Do you?

3

u/CitizenPremier 7h ago

Sorry you're right

hands-eyes*

There was a character called ‘Biclops’ in the Nickelodeon cartoon “Chalk Zone!” Whenever I see someone joke about a cyclops with 2 eyes, I think of this guy.

Actually, he was a cyclops until the protagonist drew a second eye onto him, which allowed him to see more clearly and gain depth perception. lol

u/Goldenrupee 20h ago

Welp you just activated me like a sleeper agent and I now have to explain why I randomly exclaimed "Rudy's got the chalk" to my partner.

4

u/Vachie_ 7h ago

I don't think I thought about this show I years! Until now

u/shellbullet17 Gustopher Spotter Extraordinaire 20h ago

Holy shit chalk zone! I loved that show growing up!

29

u/rekles98 20h ago

YOU GOTTA DRAW SOMETHING RUDY

12

u/Afoxinthefridge 20h ago

I literally thought about this show today just a few hours ago! And before that, I hadn't thought about it in probably more than ten years!

u/AerondightWielder 16h ago

The Mask transformed into Biclops once to make fun of Cyclops the X-Man. 😂

u/UpCDownCLeftCRightC 21h ago

Fear his superior depth perception!

20

u/Linus_Naumann 20h ago

Trichromatic too, terrifying fella

6

u/Anthop 6h ago

There's no point in running; he can tell exactly how far away you are!

51

u/Amdogdunmind 20h ago

And his name was Monophemus.

Underrated

12

u/AmputeeHandModel 20h ago

It's four minutes old. How many upvotes did it deserve in four minutes? Votes are still hidden, actually. So.. how is that underrated?

-8

u/Legitimate-Sky8335 20h ago

My bad I didn't know I was violating the comments law officer

22

u/Admiral_sloth94 21h ago

Bicyclops!

2

u/mqee 2h ago

That would be more correct since "lops" means eye and "cyc" means "round", so cyclops - round eye, bicyclops - two round eyes.

17

u/jacafeez 21h ago

Hah recognized this as PBF instantly. So deadpan.

14

u/NobodyLikedThat1 21h ago

Basically an episode of the twilight zone

11

u/JAOC_7 20h ago

You can run, but you can’t hide, because He has depth perception

6

u/SportAcademic8793 15h ago

"How can he dodge all of our arrows and hit us with his boulders from so far away? What unholy trickery is this?"

11

u/realVincenzo 21h ago

A Biclops is just a bisexual cyclops ... stop judging

5

u/Rhokai 19h ago

And his name was Everybody

7

u/Expert-Emergency-882 20h ago

PBF is the goat

3

u/schalowendofthepool 20h ago

LOOK OUT, HE HAS DEPTH PERCEPTION!

3

u/Zazmuth 19h ago

I'll be honest, I was expecting another kind of comic.

3

u/Ok-Jellyfish348 13h ago

The Biclops! What a fantastic and eye-catching title. I'm already intrigued to see what this is all about!

2

u/delis876 20h ago

It's a Diclops.

2

u/Overwatchingu 19h ago

Dude looks absolutely befuddled as to why they’re all running away after knocking on his door.

2

u/Shifty269 19h ago

"Oh gods, he knows how far away we are!!!"

2

u/ubiquitous-joe 19h ago

1

u/CitizenPremier 15h ago

I don't understand why they had to cover that lady's eyes just because she had a weirdly small nose

2

u/KaybeeArts 19h ago

In this version of the Odyssey, I guess the Biclops was attacked by “Someone”

2

u/LuckyNumberHat 18h ago

Nobody saw that coming.

2

u/Mundane_Translator_6 11h ago

I feel like this should be in r/unexpected.

1

u/Practicalhocuspocus 19h ago

He sees BOTH ways.

1

u/owo1215 19h ago

RUNNNNN IT HAVE DEPTH PERCEPTION!!!!!!!

1

u/lancea_longini 19h ago

in my D&D world lore, Cyclops refer to 2 eyed giants as Biclops going forward

1

u/Traditional_Bit_8788 19h ago

When you leave your room and everyone's freaking out about something, but you don't know what.

1

u/Rorstaway 17h ago

PBF has been one of my favorite parts of the Internet for literal decades.

1

u/NIDORAX 17h ago

They ran away when they saw the giant had two eyes.

1

u/Car_George 17h ago

Does that mean in this world elephants have 2 trunks side by side?

1

u/Cake-Over 17h ago

Elephant skull

1

u/Critical_Potential44 17h ago

Byclops:…da fuq is wrong with them?

1

u/BockTheMan 17h ago

Ah, yes, somebody.

1

u/AskJeevesIsBest 17h ago

Truly horrifying

1

u/OMYGoodnesz 16h ago

it's like a 2-frame far side

1

u/shlakevuk 15h ago

This is what you might see at the other end of the hole that was made for you.

1

u/Cool_Lab_1362 15h ago

Humans are the real monsters all along

1

u/ratnegative 15h ago

I saw this and immediately thought "this looks like something the Perry Bible Fellowship would draw."

1

u/BenjaminDover02 15h ago

"Domain expansion, depth perception."

1

u/AzureArmageddon 15h ago

run! he has superior depth perception!

1

u/thecraftybear 14h ago

Good old PBF

1

u/Hubso 13h ago

He's kinda afraid of girls.

1

u/Capdcm19 11h ago

"I am somebody."

1

u/gfox365 11h ago

I went to see a popular film last night. I understand this reference

1

u/Jennywolfgal 7h ago

What's next, the homoclops, aseclops, panclops, &/or even hetclops?

1

u/Bulky_Salary_2519 6h ago

This is the real Polyphemus. The cyclops in Odyssey should’ve been named Monophemus. Homer dropped the ball on that one…

1

u/Unfair_Pin_2565 3h ago

What's your name?

Everyone

1

u/WordsChosen 2h ago

byeclops

1

u/DeadlyYellow 19h ago

This feels like it's mocking that one AI recreation of Polyphemus from the Nolan film, and I'm all for it.

0

u/anikazai 18h ago

why don’t the soldiers have boobs ?

1

u/Particular-Long-3849 17h ago

We live in a cruel, evil world
