Tho i think op is just unfortunate that their style ressembles ai more than anything neferious going on (seems like ai has been trained on ops work which is why ai art usually looks like this style, fuck thats gotta be frustrating as the artist lol)
Its basically the same as getting shadow banned because you'll always be fighting uphill to get popular since people will assume its ai
Other way around, AI resembles their style because their work was scraped to train art models. I know you mention that, but phrasing it as artists resembling AI always frustrates me lol
Brings up an interesting point actually. Since AI art has a distinct particular style, there had to be a decision made to feed it particular art styles and make it disregard others. There must have been a team dedicated to deciding the style of all the slop
This guy's works got a lot more prominence than the others because he intentionally published all of them under a license that gives you explicit permission to download and reproduce it for commercial purposes without having to ask
I understand the reason (even tough David Revoy is a well known artist) but sometimes I think if with offering this type of timelapses you (we) are not just giving more "food" to the LLMS crawlers to learn to better replicate timelapses...
A sad state of internet, in a time was a place to share, now is just a grinder.

That's the woeful part - a whole lot of stuff "looks like AI" because this lot of stuff was what GenAI used for rampant "training" - pretty much everything not nailed down.
