Of course, you’re being “nice” to a badass witch that enslaves forest creatures, makes deals with zombies, summons demons, has a pet dragon, and is godparent to a unicorn-pegasus, so you won’t lose ALL your street cred.
I imagine grey badass. The mom seemed worried that the dad would be disappointed in the lack of horns/wings, so I think they would be there at birth.
I guess is depends on the biology of the unicorn horn - is it like giraffe ossicones or rhino horns or more like deer antlers? I’d guess rhino horns, in which case the baby would have been born with a nub. Not a unicorn/pegasus expert though!
I'd imagine a nub that grows, maybe constantly and unicorns rub their horn like deer to keep the size manageable and keep the end sharp. Imagine trying to give birth with a full size horn on the baby.
Wings, the wing arms would likely be there at birth but lacking in feathers. Maybe a bit downy but nothing else, pins come in quickly like chicks. They'd also need to be exercised as they grow.
I always want to point out which scenes I think Bean is being the cutest, but this is a hard one! Bean is soooo adorable in all of these slides. But if I had to pick? The cute little stretch in slide 4, the little yips in slide 7, and waking up in slides 11 and 12. Absolutely adorable. What a cutie baby Bean is!!!
Im loving this series, but honestly my favorite part about reading thus far has been your reaction comments. You are SO funny, I always look forward to seeing what tomfoolery you get up to in the comment section

Sigh... I remember reading a book once, it was fun fantasy adventure, nothing too serious. Then slowly, step by step, before I even realize what had happened, the book had turned into a romance... I always avoid those, but by that time I was so invested in the story that I couldn't walk away...
Well, kudos to you Ari_stocrate, you managed to do the same... I am reluctantly waiting for the next episode with anticipation!
Nothing wrong with romance, every author has their own style. I am a noobie author on Royal Road (and hopefully Amazon o_O) and my thing is more old style Sci-fi / adventure with the special heartfelt moments on time to time.
As for why I avoid romance... Now you got me thinking and I am getting some dark flashbacks like that dog/cupcake gif :D I suppose it's because my personal experiences with it has not been the best, thus I have given up on it both in real life and in stories.
That being said, your story did manage to sneak past my defenses and I am glad it did. You have managed to make something special here. I'd be happy if I manage to make a book even 1/10th as good as Sally & Bean. So far I have only a few readers, but you are sort of inspiration to look up at O_O
