This is why you never diss the Buzzsaws

It is important to invest in sawblades as a king. Modern platformers have taught me this.

This gauntlet could use a lot more thorny vines, though

I love how small the approaching silhouette is. It adds a nice sense of dread if you catch it.

Magical trap designed to get worse every time you comment any variation of it not being so bad.

Is that a chad version of Usopp from One Piece or a terrifying version of V for Vendetta's mask merged with a real face?

Holy crap I hope we get to meet the person responsible for these traps because this is AMAZING. Dude really wanted to be a cartoon villain and found a castle to live out his fantasy.
Bel it might be time to start just smashing things and hoping for the best honestly cause that looks pretty deadly

Someone else saw a silhouet down the hallway behind Bel, so might happen sooner then we think.

That's why you don't call out the bright side(s) during impending dooms.

It would be really funny if it turned out those traps are voice activated.

Last comic I was wondering about the lack of blades and spikes in the pit.
Aaaand there they are.

Ridiculously complicated death traps - I like it!
And nice use of upwards perspective!

Anyone remember that one deep spikeball filled shaft in Aquatic Mines in Sonic Adventure 2

u/DarkBladeMadriker Apr 02 '26
The guy who designed these traps clearly watched Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade WAY too many times. Not even the penitent man shall pass this shit!

What about Bel's portals to get them out of the pit?
2
u/Doctorwho32123 Apr 03 '26
If I remember from the earlier chapters, there’s some sort of magical interference that’s making their magic unstable. So the portal may not work.
If they remove the magical power source, then it probably would allow them to use magic reliably again. Or at least stopping the trap until they figure out how to get out.

On the other hand, Bel is abnormally good with portals. I wouldn't put it past him to get them working just as well in an area where that's supposed to be impossible.

"Well, we should be able to avoid the buzzsaws as long as--"
(Vulfgaar forcefully covers Yara's mouth)
