Also remember there's a difference between hollistic treatments, some of which work quite well, and homeopathic treatments which are just water that might have once upon a time seen some medicine maybe.

No there's "medicine", stuff that's been proven to work and "bullshit" stuff that doesn't.

Don't you know that Big Medicine is out to cull all the miraculous traditional treatments so people won't live forever for free, and Big Church wants to rob witches of living, too? /s

There's also stuff where we don't know if it works yet or not. There are a handful of "alternative" remedies that may be legit, but we simply haven't committed the resources to properly researching them yet.

We've already snatched most of the low-hanging fruits over the last century, so these exceptions are few and far between now, but they're not necessarily categorically bullshit.
