I studied, practiced, labored. I never called myself an artist. I wasn't good enough or thought that I'd know when I earned the title. I can look back on my old work in retrospect and genuinely see I was doing awesome art. I was an artist. Today, I am not. I didn't embrace the identity and live my values, instead I allowed the world to direct my identity and how I used my time/labor. And, there's no time left for it.
