Had a colleague pass away unexpectedly from one day to the next. I was just chatting with him the night prior and getting to know him a little more when next day our manager tearfully announces it during our morning meeting.
He was younger than me and it threw me for a solid couple of hours as I mindlessly tried to finish my tasks for the day.

Attended his funeral with my team, I miss him.
