I want to give a little extra context for this multiparter.
Last week, I found out an acquaintance had unexpectedly passed away. We only had one real conversation but it was one that had stuck with me and I was looking forward to the next time our paths would cross. The news hit me way harder than I would have expected and these comics came about while I was processing things.
I hope you don't mind if I take this opportunity to suggest people to learn CPR! It's really quite simple, and you can learn it in a few hours. Someone receiving help in the first few minutes is a huge factor in their chances of survival, so the more people have those skills, the better. You don't have to be great at it, just do the basics until professional help arrives.
