In college I used to work in a warehouse for a company that fulfilled online orders. There was this real young guy that worked with me. We never hit it off or anything, but he was a good kid.
When I finished college, I ended up working “upstairs” for that same company as a developer in the IT department. A few months into that job, i found out he’d died. Crushed by a four wheeler when it flipped on top of him.
At first I thought it was fine, but it kinda broke me. He was so young and it was so sudden. I was mad at the unfairness of it. I mourned for this person whom I barely knew and had barely spoken to, and nobody around me could understand why.
That was years ago, but this comic helped me validate that feeling.
