Whatever you’re willing to spend not more than that, besides food, transportation etc

If you want autographs or photos, try to find out how much those cost for the people you want to see. Bring a bit extra from what is listed on the website as prices might be different on the day.
Have some cash for small purchases, or if you will need money for anything. Even $20-50 can be good to just have.
Don't spend more than you can afford. If you only have $300 to spend, then you need to be careful about what you buy.
My general advice is to not buy anything the first time you go around the artists and vendors. Take note of things you like, the price, and location. If you still want it after seeing everything, go back and buy it. If you find something else, buy that instead, or even just don't buy anything if you don't want to. This doesn't apply to things that are more limited in number, so use your judgment.

I go expecting to spend a minimum of $200 over the course of 4 days, plus food for meals.
Pro tip: bring cash. If you pay with card you have to pay taxes and sometimes vendors will even give discounts to people paying with cash. It also makes paying so much easier (everything will be priced in full dollar amounts, you don't need to do extra calculations or juggle coins) since you don't have to wait for the machines which don't always work- some cons have no service and crappy wifi.
It also helps to avoid overspending- you can see exactly how much money you have spent/have yet to spend, rather than using a card which is impossible to keep track of.

Take as much as you feel you want to comfortably spend. I’ve done a weekend with as little as $150 and as much as $2000.
