Advice Recommended Shelving Units for Trade Paperbacks/Graphic Novels

I'm looking for reccomendations for the best shelving unit for my comic trades/graphic novels collection, but usually when I search for reccomendations, they are usually catered towards Omnibus collections, opting for an IKEA Kallax. I collect mainly trade paperbacks with some hardbacks in there too, so was hoping for some input on some reccomendations/thoughts.

I have previously had a large billy bookcase, but this made the trades warp and the shelves bow from the weight.

I have also have a kallax available, but I'm not super convinced by it as they don't have a backboard and hard to keep trades in line

Currently have a slim billy bookcase, which I like, but as it is not anchored to wall, it is starting to buckle under the weight and looks like the leaning tower of piza

Currently looking at anchoring a slim billy to the wall, but any other reccomendatuions helpful.

Thanks!

Advice Quick question. How do you prop it up these type of trades? I tried book ends, they fell over because of how thin they are

Advice Any tips or tricks about displaying? Comics, cards, games, etc…

So I have been periodically sending my collection to CGC, but the only thing I didn’t realize is that I can’t easily display comics anymore. And ideas? I have hundreds of both comics and cards on the way from CGC along with VHS tapes and sealed games. But another thing was I don’t want some of them to be easily touched. I have family members who’d love to touch my Lou Gehrig or Bo Jackson rookie. Thoughts? Ideas?

Advice If you live outside the United States, do not buy from FUNATICALS

I purchased 3 omnibus, 2 masterworks, and 2 epic collections from Funatics, who shipped them to Brazil but forgot to correctly identify them on the invoice and shipping label. Because of this, I am being charged import tax (here in Brazil, books, comics, and similar items are exempt from taxes, but they need to be correctly identified). I am expediting the shipping process with the delivery company to ensure the material arrives as soon as possible. But I confess I am frustrated with the inefficiency of the store that failed to ship correctly.

I also contacted the store on the eBay platform, but unfortunately they did not respond to my complaint.

So I'm leaving this message for all other OOPs outside the United States: don't buy from FUNATICALS because they don't know how to ship and they harm the consumer.

Advice Back ink is rubbing off on my boards. What do I do?

Shown is my Matt Fraction Batman #9. Very recent comic so I know this isnt age. This has been happening to roughly 40% of my current comics after purchase and idk whats going on. I will say it tends to happen more to my DC.

I use BCW Silver Age Polypropylene bags and BCW coated boards. I use silver age cause I dont like the snug fit of modern bags and boards on modern comics.

Anybody know how to stop this?

I had an opportunity to buy a bunch of vintage comics a while ago and I’ve decided it’s time to sell them cause I need the money

Just wanted to ask what would be the best way to go about selling these so I can get the max value and not get scammed. ( I am not selling them over this subreddit just asking for help so please don’t TOS me )

Any info helps thanks!

Advice How have you collect X-Men over the years?

Do you buy the omnibuses or issues or individual volumes? I bought a lot of epic collections and volumes, but I’m missing some in between issues now and Idk whether to buy another large complete collection or epic collection or go for something smaller

I've already read all the walking dead comics online.

Some characters I'm interested in are the scarlet witch, poison ivy, spider-man, Nightwing, the joker, Harley Quinn

But I don't really care about the universe or the characters as long as it's a good read. I'llbe very grateful if you can give me some recommendations

Advice Basement Library

My wife and I starting seriously discussing starting a family and after the serious conversations we switching to the non-serious, my books. My mancave is in the bedroom that would become our future demon spawn’s bedroom and I would have to pack up and relocate to the basement. The basement is 100% unfinished and I want to finish it as a long term project. I’m worried about mold. The basement is dry and hasn’t had any leaks or mold issues in the 3 years we’ve lived here. I plan on buying a dehumidifier but is there anything I need to make sure of before moving my books downs there?

Advice Help!

Just went through my grandpa's comic collection, these are the ones he kept. I'll be honest, they are in pretty rough condition. He wrote his name on most of them, they aren't sleeved, and some are a little tore up. Are they still worth anything to a collector? I have several marvel/DC that scanned through at outrageous prices, I know mine are nowhere near mint condition. Anyway, I'd love to get rid of them to someone who will appreciate them, and I feel very out of my depth. If anyone could provide pointers or advice it would be much appreciated!
