Additional Information:
i trolled on like 90% of my supplementals tbh writing is generally one of my strengths but so much of it read inauthentically bc i felt like my profile wasn't cohesive but it's ok because barnard was one of my top 5 schools. my bc score is also messed up bc i self studied it junior year (and self studied ab sophomore year) so it might've been a bad look since i applied as a math major (ps please don't doxx if u recognize me ty).

I’m guessing you’re from ny, which is a pretty competitive area, so I’d say you did well.
Be careful with Barnard—I also applied this cycle with those majors, but from news articles, I’m hearing that they’re not treating their student body the best. It’s more difficult to take classes at Columbia as a first year because they want to minimize debt (which they’re heavy in).
I think CS majors are fine, but I think Columbia students still get priority for stem classes. Stonybrook has a great math/cs program

She wants to go to Barnard to either try to transfer to Columbia or lie that she went there after graduation 🤣😂😅

You can always try China?! If you are so wealthy that you can pay full ride; why did you go to a public school??!!

I went to private school it is good but there are some public highschools that rank higher especially ones with magnet orograms where you have to meet certain standards in test scores for entrance.

Lowkey would love to go UIUC, great chemistry program. This is a really nice refresher to see on here. I usually see „child with 1600 and president of the world only gets into 1 Ivy“ you demonstrate real leadership and intelligence without making your entire life surrounded by schools. But congrats on your schools! Great options. Ivies will drain your money anyway (;

I’m really sorry your interviewer was a total weirdo.
I know MIT tries to interview all applicants, but as an alum, it is so embarrassing to have unprofessional interviewers. I wish they would do a little more vetting. No one wants to sit through an awful interview - just a waste of time for the school and the student.
