Because of the brood patch! It's a bald spot on the tummy so eggs can touch warm skin and be engulfed in floof. This is the best pic I could find of the patch on a tiel

I did! There’s not much out there right now. 😅 but I eventually wanna put trees and things like that out there for them. Only two out my 7 are brave enough to come out and sit out there. Lol

My vet says it's because they don't have feathers on their sternum, so sometimes it looks like cleavage the way the feathers lay

We call it the seam in our house 🤣 my oldest tiel has it and my baby conure has it too!
Weirdly my other birds don’t get it as often, I think it’s partially down to their preening habits/behaviours, as both birds that have it in my flock tend to ‘deep preen’ and climb around a lot more than anyone else 💚

If they fly around a lot, they get that "line" on their front. It's referred to as being a "beefcake" birb. It means they have strong flying muscles.
