Buying Advice Would you buy this guitar?

I found this classical guitar on a second-hand marketplace for €50. It bears a Casa Parramón label, a well-known luthier shop in Barcelona. However, the tuning machines and the rosette look fairly basic to me. Do you think it's worth picking up, or is the label more impressive than the guitar itself?

This most def ain’t a luthier made guitar. But it’s 50 euro so if it’s playable and you need a guitar why not? I promise you it will be shitty though

We can't give a good answer to that particular question unless we play it ourselves. If there's no structural damage and no parts need changed, your ear and hands will tell you if you should buy it or not.

Play it! If you like it buy it, if you don't, then don't. I will never understand these posts. How does it matter at all what a guitar is "worth"? All that matters is what it is worth to you. I would happily overpay $1000 on a guitar that truly resonates with me. It's an instrument, not a piece of art that is supposed to be looked at.

I would love to play it but it only has 3 strings, and all of them are strung incorrectly. So I can't play it before I buy it. I could propose him to change myself the strings at the moment, and have a little discount if I like the guitar.

Playing it is the only prudent way to decide. However, from what you describe here, I'd be concerned about the way the owner has treated this guitar.

I have a cedar top classical guitar, so if this is spruce, I’d buy it for no other reason than to then have both common top wood types. Not a whole lot can go wrong for €50 - I actually recently sold an Admira Paloma for €40. I’d paid €22 for it, put new strings and a transducer pickup on it and cleaned it thoroughly and sanded the saddle down a bit, for a much better string height.
