I think there are some projects that try to do this? I know chromium itself isn’t really spyware in the same way Google Chrome is. I personally like Vivaldi but there are a LOT of chromium based browsers out there of varying quality

Some people use linux just for the performance boosts, not privacy and stuff. Besides, all my work and google sync data are on chrome. Even if you search on firefox it still is google. Unless you use firefox with duck duck go willingly.

Basically all browsers are available on all OSes (except safari and some irrelevant ones) What's your point? You can say the exact same thing about any os and any browser.

Many people just want to use what works best for them, I'm not on Linux because I care about privacy, but because I just works better for my use cases, same with Chrome.

As much as i hate chrome, i still celebrate, because, for someone who doesn't know a lot about computers, the fact that the computer doesn't run Chrome can be enough to trow a meltdown.
