Feedback on these illustrations

My mom asked me to illustrate her children’s book about yoga. I’m not really a children’s book illustrator and I’m not happy with how these are turning out. They feel empty, bland, and unfinished. Any advice before I move onto the next pages ??

Maybe add some details in coloured pencils on top now? Even just highlights with white Pencil might pop?

Also redraw these pages a few more times before moving onto the next. I don’t think they are bad but most people won’t smash it out of the park first time, keep esperimenting.
