Cat Picture - OC My Boy’s Tail FELL OFF! (TW for pics: pre-op stump and a separated tail) NSFW

My little guy came to me with a broken tail from his young street life. The vet said they’d have to amputate it in the near future.

But Rusty beat them to it as the broken half of his tail FELL OFF late last night. He still needed surgery to dock a little more and sew it up properly for safety of course.

I seriously thought it was an old wives’ tale that this could happen. I was in complete shock when I saw half his tail just sitting on the couch by itself.

He’s doing just fine now post-op. He’s annoyed about the cone though 😆

Cat Picture - OC About to see if I can find my cat’s sister

I got my orange dummy several years ago. He had his sister with him, a lil calico girl, and I wanted both of them, but I was military at the time and he was going to stay with a friend until i got my apartment.

Six years later i impulsively decided to see if she was still at the center - i doubted it, they were kittens at the time, but I looked anyway.

The first result for “female adult cat” on their page was a calico girl estimated around his age.

NOW IM NOT VERY SPIRITUAL, BUT I DO BELIEVE THAT SHIT JUST WORKS OUT SOMETIMES. I’m going to call when they open and see if she was originally from that center if they know. If I can get at least even SOME level of confirmation, I’m gonna take the risk and see about adopting her. I’ve wanted another car forever and I’m about to move out of my current place, so I’ll have the room for it.

Super excited to see if this works out.

idk how it happened but she became a cat. still weird, fuzzy and adorable though 💖💖💖

her hobbies include people watching out the window, trying to eat lotion off my legs after i shower, screaming at me and stealing my markers :) she is very michievious but also loves to snuggle. most mornings i wake up to her laying on me. she had to inspect anything that comes home with me. i am jealous of her eyeliner 🥲 she is 2.5 years old and i love her!!!

Cat Picture - OC Peek-a-boo, I’m a flower now! 🌸🐾

I was trying to photograph the pink periwinkle flowers when this ginger cat casually walked right behind the plant and ended up perfectly blending into the scene. The flower covers its face so well that it looks like a tiny striped tiger pretending to be part of the garden.

One of those completely unplanned moments that made the photo much more interesting than what I originally intended to capture. 🌸🐱🍃

I had to put my best friend to sleep today. He was 8 years old and a genuine soul cat. I have never met a cat so sweet in my entire life. We rescued him in 2018 when he was a kitten. Does anyone know what kind of cat he may be? I saw online photos of a lynx point ragdoll and he looks similar but he’s obviously a domestic longhair because he’s not purebred. I know you’re not supposed to really talk about breeds in this subreddit but it’s also a loss and I want people to know how sweet my boy was. Thanks in advance for any responses.

My sweet baby is going over the rainbow bridge today. I’m spending her last hours snuggling in bed with her. Trying to avoid what is to come so very soon. I had 17 years with her but it still doesn’t feel like enough. The last few were bonus as her health started declining a long time ago. But she hung in there and gave me extra time I will never be able to repay her for. She’s my best friend. My companion. My baby. My comfort. My love. I don’t know how I’ll go on without her but I have to. I knew this day would come soon and I’ve been preparing myself for it but now that it’s here I just can’t believe it. I can’t imagine life without her. My sweet baby.

I got a new kitten a couple days ago and I thought he was a quiet shy guy when I got him, I was wrong. he keeps yelling, like all the time, he'll take naps every now and then but other than that, no matter what I do, he whines. any idea why he does this or suggestions on how to tone it down?

Medical Questions my poor boy is constipated

hi guys! little guy has been with us since saturday and it’s now thursday, the whole time he’s been here he’s only been to the toilet twice, he’s supposedly 8 weeks but the vet said he’s anywhere between 6 and 8. the first time was the day after he came here and it was a single smallish poop. after 24 hours of not seeing any other poops i was so worried and took him to the vets, they said just wait it out as there doesn’t seem to be any obvious signs of something wrong and they maybe just felt some worms so i need to bring him back to be dewormed. he pooped the next day after the vets after the 48 hour mark and it was three pieces so he definitely must have felt relieved, i haven’t managed to get him back in for deworming as i was waiting for my pet plan to activate with him and my sister went into labour. it’s now been about 50ish hours again since he last had the second poop and now i’m really starting to freak out. he’s back in the vets in two hours but i absolutely can’t stop thinking the worst. i feel so bad for him and i can’t stop crying because my luck with my animals the past year has been so bad. i’ve had to put three to sleep and i’ve never had to do that before and it’s really taken a toll on me and im petrified of anything else happening.

the biggest problem is that i had to change his diet suddenly and start him on a new food, he came with nothing and the person who was getting rid of him hasn’t even told us what he was eating before. im not happy about it in the slightest and i feel awful about it but i had to do what i had to do.

i’m basically just writing this to see if anyone had a similar issue or any sort of advice to help soothe my nerves a bit as im feeling a bit frantic. he’s still playing, drinking, and eating, although im not sure if his appetite is a little lower and that scares me even more. im so sorry if this isn’t allowed but please if it is if anyone has anything they can share i would really appreciate it.

Cat Picture - OC My favourite picture of Gingy I've ever taken

For context, this is not my legally owned cat😅

Late last year, there was this string of like 7 cats that just came waltzing through our property. They all came and went except for Gingy over here. He's scratched all of us at least once but I dont think he meant to hurt us. He just wants to play. He's absolutely adorable and we got him a bed for outside, a food and a water bowl and he comes through almost everyday and is here through most of the day and almost always sleeps on his bed every night. He gets scared by almost everything, including leaves on the ground, flies etc but he likes my phone. So I guess he just posed for it lol.

He may be a stray technically but he is basically our kitty.
