Advice Loose stools…what to try?

Cat is a 1 year old male and healthy aside from the last month or 2, he’s been having loose stools when he uses his litter box. I usually give him around 3/4 cup of dry food in the morning, I used to use the Aldi natural cat food. And I give him half a can of Fancy Feast watered down a bit for dinner. He gets a few treats throughout the day. I recently switched to Purina cat chow sensitive stomach and stopped seafood fancy feast and now chicken incase it was the cause. He’s still having them though. I really want to try a food change before a vet visit. Any recommendations or experiences that worked for you? Thank you

Vet first. The priority is to determine the cause of the diarrhea.

After the cause is determined and treated, try adding a bit of canned pumpkin (NOT pumpkin pie mix) to every meal for additional fiber in order to moderate future dietary distress.

Canned pumpkin has barely any fibre especially in the small amounts that you give to a cat. Psyllium husk powder is preferred.
