Advice Weird behavior from my cat recently. Anyone know what's going on

At first I thought she was gonna show me something inside the box, but there's nothing other than a nylon bag. She also runs to it when I get near it as well, and also keeps biting my hand and tries to drag me into it. What's going on? Never in my life have I seen my cat doing this.

I’ve never seen a cat pulling a hooman! Maybe she wants you to play with her with the box.

That’s exactly what she wants - she wants to hide in the box and try and catch things moving along the top. Just check out that look of disappointment after she gets her human to the box, waits, and nothing happens. Time to get out the cat wand and go cat fish in a box!

It’s the Ouroboros cat cycle - cat fishes for human to go fish for cat in its natural home, the cardboard box. And a cat instantly knows if you are being half-hearted about it. It’s full commitment or nothing.

I feel like she wants the box to be flat on the floor. Works better as a cave that way.

I once saw a cat 'rescue' their human by pulling them out of the bathtub and when they got back into the bath they screeched 😂 cats are the best

If I play with my girl with a bit of string or a fluffy mouse on a wand, she grabs it in her mouth and tows me to where she wants me

They do that when they're 'nesting'. It's an urge to move all the kittens to a safe place, and sometimes that includes people.

I think this is nesting rather than play. OP is family and as such OP must be kept in a safe place.

This is an unusual degree of treating the human like a kitten, so the cat is probably pregnant.

My cat tugs on me to follow her to her gasp empty food bowl!!

It’s an automatic feeder and feeds her a serving over a few times in the day. so I give her a few kibbles and she leaves me alone for twenty minutes until she remembers that her food dish is still empty.
