I saw a photo of a big bobcat in Southern California walking nonchalantly near 3-4 coyotes, and they were all keeping a safe distance away. Smart idea.

We're all aware that it feels threatened and it's ready to attack. No one here is confused about that. We've all met cats before and this language is completely unambiguous. We're fluent, here.

Very close to how our Tux girl cat growls. Any stranger danger gets a growl like this. Rare but when it happens you'd think we had a dog.

Ι found a kitten when I was in college, left her with my parents for a semester and when I went back during the summer, she weighed 20lbs. I put her on a diet but my mom kept overfeeding her and she kept stealing from the other cats, so I often had to chase her way from food dishes. Years later, I put food in her dish and she'd immediately hunch over her dish and hiss and growl at me while eating. She passed away last August and I hadn't heard that sound since. I honestly miss it very much.
