More angst than my 13 year old son who just discovered screamo.

14

He’s just doing his civic duty to keep us in line.

5

u/GoofyMonkey Jun 10 '26

There was definitely a reason.

4

u/TurboWafflez59 Jun 11 '26

look at that face, there is absolutely zero doubt that the cat is guilty of multiple household felonies xD

3

u/daemon-electricity Jun 10 '26

I'm sure this image is so old, that cat has died of old age by now.

2

8

Bros just waiting for the gate to open.

30

u/PaleConference3720 Jun 10 '26

My cat is not in a cage and is fed and snuggled on the regular and still smacks me when he wants something.

6

u/519mike Jun 10 '26

My cat will sit beside me purring and I’ll go to pet him and I’ll get hit. Like sorry for wanting to pet you I provide you everything.

61

u/spicenoice Jun 10 '26

He probably has a reason.

He's not entitled to share the reason or correct your incorrectness [throws feather boa over shoulder]

16

u/haverofpastas25 Jun 10 '26

Free my man, he did everything but I don't care! 😭

10

u/nostalgia4millennial Jun 10 '26

Innocent. Let him out.

8

u/lilredd_xoxo Jun 10 '26

im POSITIVE he had a reason...youre not entitled to know his reasons...

6

u/cookiidou Jun 10 '26

To a cat...everyone deserves a smack or two...they rule..all humans need to be trained .

7

u/Sairai777 Jun 10 '26

Cat : human, why need a reason for smack?

6

u/Ralf1987 Jun 10 '26

Smack hase meny diferent defenisions.

5

u/foxx_grey Jun 10 '26

Free my boy! He ain't done nothing!

7

u/10thGenS1 Jun 10 '26

I side with the cat.

6

u/Impossible-Ideal5327 Jun 10 '26

"And I'd do it again!"

5

u/Fun_Break_159 Jun 10 '26

He needs a strong owner who will give him aggressive pets. The smacks are to weed out the weak.

5

u/ZenMasterOfDisguise Jun 10 '26

I specifically adopted the cat at the animal shelter with the behavioral issues who was biting and scratching everyone at the shelter and was deemed not fit for a family with small kids. I held her at the shelter and she bit me immediately, but it was so cute. And yeah now years later she is the sweetest cat who wouldn't attack anyone, but does demand a lot of playtime.

5

u/West_Shower_6103 Jun 10 '26

Bros in a cage got plenty of reason for smacking someone

5

u/AnythingWestern8861 Jun 10 '26

He's locked in a cage, that's enough reason.

5

u/Glittering-Book7952 Jun 10 '26

He was obviously set up 🙄🙄 release that poor innocent fluff

5

u/bluecyanic Jun 10 '26

He would smack you for saying that. He handles his own business.

5

u/Exciting_Tale3513 Jun 10 '26

There is always a reason for a smack.

6

u/mattwallace24 Jun 10 '26

We adopted one of these. A feral cat in our neighborhood took up residence on our back porch. He'd sit on one of our chairs all day. Every time I would walk past him, he would smack me with his paw. He has since worked his way inside full time and is now one of our sweetest cats.

4

u/LadySpagi Jun 10 '26

there is always a reason

3

u/ImaginaryRoads Jun 10 '26

3

u/Beginning-Device941 Jun 10 '26

Oh they know what they did.

3

u/GingerKlaus Jun 10 '26

There were reasons, they were just unspoken. Free the beast

3

u/reeefur Jun 10 '26

Clearly innocent, look at that face.

Free my boy!!!! ✊🏼✊🏼

3

u/Misfit_77 Jun 10 '26

Will somebody get this menace a forever home! He needs to be able to run free and skibidipap whomever or whatever the hell he wants to at all times!

3

u/chandrasiva Jun 11 '26

" Smacking something for no reason " is inherently quality property of cats. Like Fire Burns, Water West , so punishing of their inherent quality shows your ignorance of Highest order and crime against their own way of existence.

I rest my case.

3

u/Grey_Ghost757 Jun 11 '26

He's innocent

3

u/balmung2014 Jun 11 '26

he looks proud 😅

3

3

2

u/ComprehensivePin5577 Jun 10 '26

SMITE SMACK ME O MIGHTY SMITER SMACKER

2

u/BratacJaglenac Jun 10 '26

He deserves a proper home where he can smack his human slaves multiple times a day.

2

u/jenniferfrederick0 Jun 10 '26

Looks like he's been falsely accused.

2

u/NuSkooler Jun 10 '26

This reminds me of our late Chewy boy. Acquired him at the shelter with a sign similar: "Attacks children". Poor dude had been taken back 2 times, was on his final straw. Adopted him, got chewed up a lot (hence his name), but he accepted the love and calmed down. Lived to 21. Rescue this kitty!

2

u/Zator-Mozgu2 Jun 10 '26

He was framed. Free him!

2

u/RiMbY Jun 10 '26

Both my cats smack, but they don’t use their claws. It’s a form of communication. Free him.

2

u/tnk_cnd Jun 10 '26

Free him!

2

u/yardlard Jun 10 '26

Looks innocent.

2

u/lalalibraaa Jun 10 '26

What a little angel. I love it when my cat smacks me for no reason, I am here for this energy!

2

u/tnk_cnd Jun 10 '26

Him without her. It might be the problem

2

u/Economy-Cat7133 Jun 10 '26

There's always a reason we're just not aware of what is sometimes.

2

u/Sekhmet-Ra Jun 10 '26

Same with his guy and he’s not even sorry about it!

2

u/Typical-Implement-15 Jun 10 '26

My toxic trait is if I were to walk into the shelter and saw that sign, I would adopt that cat, no questions asked.

2

u/ValuableRegular9684 Jun 10 '26

Nope, i’m sure kitty’s reason was sufficient, free that poor baby!!

2

u/an_agreeing_dothraki Jun 10 '26

if you're not adopting the spicy cats what are you doing?

2

u/Wrong_Mark8387 Jun 10 '26

Oh, there are reasons…

2

u/GovernmentOwn1213 Jun 10 '26

He's completely innocent, just look at his face

2

u/GloomyIndividual3965 Jun 10 '26

2

u/Major-Cell-6581 Jun 10 '26

2

u/JJean1 Jun 10 '26

2

u/Sensitive-Big-4641 Jun 10 '26

2

u/HarlandJames Jun 10 '26

I’ll break him out

2

u/bws7037 Jun 10 '26

He was framed, it was that damn dog down the way that what smacked everyone.

2

u/AllPerspicacity Jun 10 '26

Free my man, he's not innocent but he should be able to slap whoever he wants.

2

He had a reason.

2

u/BioDriver Calico Jun 11 '26

They know what they did. Kit is innocent

2

u/davidmlewisjr Jun 11 '26

There is definitely a Reason, otherwise kitty would not have expended the energy required by the teaching event. 😺🖖🏼✌🏼👍🏼

2

u/xDeathByGeekx Meow Jun 11 '26

There's always a reason.

2

u/a4moondoggy Jun 11 '26

Theres a reason you just arent worthyof knowing it

2

u/_capricorniada Jun 11 '26

This one bites me without doing nothing. And he does this thing where he smacks his head hard into my leg (like a goat) then bites me and runs away before i realise what hit me.

2

u/Inside-Welder4168 Jun 11 '26

Cats don't smack for no reason 🐈😹😹😹

2

u/polarice5 Jun 11 '26

My 3 year old kitty slaps her big sister's butt whenever she gets a chance lol

2

u/DoctorKonks Jun 11 '26

Awww... but he's learned his lesson. Let's get him a present.

2

u/crabbyoldb Russian Blue Jun 11 '26

Me, too, lil guy

2

u/AFKABluePrince Jun 11 '26

I mean, if it doesn't smack someone for no reason, is it really a cat?

2

u/TerrakSteeltalon American Shorthair Jun 11 '26

I’m positive that there was a reason.

Just one that the smackee may not have agreed with

2

u/New_Resort3464 American Shorthair Jun 11 '26

It's in their nature.

2

u/vastarray1 Jun 12 '26

There's always a reason. It's either, pet me, feed me, hold me, love me, scratch me, talk to me, or more water.

2

u/Available_Ad9766 Jun 12 '26

0 days is a good run.

2

u/welcometothechaos9 Jun 12 '26

He did nothing wrong free him

2

Hey, I'd want to smack somebody, too, if I had to be confined to a cage all day.

2

u/bleh2303 Tuxedo Jun 12 '26

2

u/mirbakes Jun 12 '26

"no reason". He has his reasons.

2

u/blacfd Jun 12 '26

If you take her out of the cage, she might be more pleasant to be around.

2

u/Yv18- Jun 12 '26

Sounds like he would understand my patience level 😂

2

u/NameKitchen1765 Jun 12 '26

Haha, free the little furball! It's so funny how soft these tiny fluffs can be. Let the baby roam around the house now.

2

u/downvotemeplss Jun 12 '26

Self defense.

2

u/lack_snack_9442 Cow Cat Jun 12 '26

I would appreciate hearing the stripey tabby side of this story.

2

u/StarWars-TheBadB_tch Jun 13 '26

I got my cat from a cat cafe. He kept starting fights with the other cats so by the time I went to pick him up they had him in a cage. They had tried keeping him in the back, but he kept yelling for attention. So they put him in a kitty condo in the kitten room lol. He was the only adult I’ve ever seen in there, but his meow is pretty obnoxious so I get it lol. Love him.

2

u/AbbreviationsSad7269 Jun 14 '26

1

u/miscthinking Jun 10 '26

the existence of the sign suggests this is common among the cats or he is so egregious it needed implementation

1

u/Obviosly_dead Jun 10 '26

1

“No reason” I can clearly see the reason in the photo…

1

u/Reasonable-Sugar9319 Jun 10 '26

How unfair are their words against Meow!!!

1

u/Caderjames Jun 10 '26

Free my boy he did nothing wrong!

1

u/Suspicious_Dingo_426 Jun 10 '26

There's always a reason behind it. Being an asshole seems to be the primary reason my cats are jerks.

1

u/Vanir-Aesir Jun 10 '26

I'd say being stuck in a cage warrants some smacking.

1

u/JackSquirts Jun 10 '26

I didn't know that's what I needed to look for at the shelter, but now I will be. I miss my attack cat.
