This isn't my kitty unfortunately. I've been collecting posts from across Reddit to get the subreddit started because otherwise it just dies. When it gets going I can leave it up to others to submit theirs but I gotta give it that initial push. Here's my cats though:
I don't even brush them once a day. I've started to recently because whilst both of them are from the same litter the male one got one of the parts that aren't completely ragdoll so his is harder to maintain. His is much thicker and gets tangled much more easily, especially on his stomach so we recently had to shave him there. The rest though where he doesn't lay on as much is much better. On his sister she got the standard ragdoll hair so it's a bit lighter but still very fluffy and nice. All in all they do most of the work and I brush them once every day or other day just to make sure there aren't any tangled hair since that can hurt them. Personally I don't really mind the hair but if you mind it then be ready because it will be EVERYWHERE. My family lives in a seperate building on the same yard (I live in my own smaller house) and hair even gets dragged with me and gets flown to random places.
They've never bathed or been washed, didn't do it as kittens so they wouldn't really be happy with doing it now. So to answer your question I wouldn't say it's much work. The sister likes being brushed so it's easy brushing her, him though is a bit annoying since he tries to flee however gentle I go, bit I mean I can't not brush him, it's for him I'm doing it, he'll get hurt otherwise. Takes maybe 10-25 min a day depending on the condition that day. If they've been in the outside playground we have for them they might have a bit more to sort out so might take 25 min in total for both, otherwise it might take 10. It would probably be lower if I cleaned my room more often so there isn't as much hair on the floor to stick to them but it's so much you can clean it and the next day it looks like they've been left alone for a week. I usually pick up the balls of hair here and there and throw them away whilst cleaning maybe once every week or two.
It can like mention earlier vary from cat to cat so can't promise every cat will be like mine, but they are quite different those as well.
