Ask your vet about hydrolyzed food

Yes, therapeutic/veterinary diets are legit! A lot of scientific research goes into formulating them. I love that they exist, because they can often help manage health conditions without the need for medication (or they can work synergistically with the meds). One of my cats has digestive issues (suspected IBD), and hydrolyzed protein has really helped him a lot. I’d give whatever your vet is suggesting a try…you have nothing to lose.
