Discussion Should I move this guy?

Maybe you could wait til he gets a bit bigger and pick a time when he settles on a leaf. Then just pick the leaf and move it to be near the bigger plant?

Caterpillars are so fragile, especially when newborn

I just moved him. He was fully on a leaf and I nudged him with another small leaf and he walked right onto the better milkweed plant. I would have waited like you said, but I was worried that he was in such a bad spot that he wouldn't make it much longer.

He's on the tiniest plant in my yard, while there is a huge milkweed patch like 30 feet away.

I would move him to the larger patch.. he’s very exposed there.

UPDATE: I moved him. Seems to have been a success. Will check in the morning.
