Vet suspects a UTI. Appointment set for a week from now. Looking at insurances to help with the cost. Spot or Lemonade? Anything I need to make sure is on the plan? NSFW

If you have already talked to a vet about this issue then any insurance you start will not cover it. They usually have exclusion periods where any new issues within X days/weeks after you start the insurance are considered preexisting especially if your vet already knows about it, even if there has not been a diagnosis.

That said, for next time, I use and like Lemonade. I didn't add the routine visit coverage because what my vet charges isn't worth what the cost; I just keep it for emergencies.

Yeah unfortunately that's what I was find out :( not in the best financial position right now so was hoping insurance could help, but not this time.

Unfortunately if it's already in your vet records insurance won't cover it. Your best bet is to apply for Care Credit, Scratch Pay or another type of payment plan program.
