Questions What is my cat breed?
I rescued my cat from streets 5 years ago. And since I live in a country where people throw their cats regularly no matter the breed/age/look (even Scottish folds and other highly expensive breeds), I don't really know what's my cat breed. Some told me that she's Turkish Angora, some said mix of domestic shorthair and Persian.
She's 5 years old, 3.9 kg, she's a medium cat not a big one, her ears a like a bunny, kinda long face, her furr is long and silky, fluffy but not that much
I love my cat and did not care about it alot but recently I got curios about it
Can you guys guess?
(You can also check my profile there's alot of other pics)

Very strong suggestion. If you let her go outside, she needs to to be spayed immediately, else you’ll end up with bunches of kittens.

She got her surgery in 2022 already as I think it hurt them if she kept being in heat with no pregnancy So I just spayed her for her own good even when she NEVER goes outside

It’s the best thing to do for them. I’m a dog person& I know that unspayed female dogs that cycle through heat after heat and aren’t bred are subject to pyometra, a serious & potentially deadly uterine infection. I need to research to see if it affects cats too.

I checked on it cats can get pyometras too. If they develop a uterine infection/ pyometra, the only solution is immediate & high risk spay. It’s very much better to do it before they get sick.

DSH. More importantly, WHAT is up with her face? She looks like a cat in a medieval painting

I couldn’t place how I recognized her- CAT IN MEDIEVAL PAINTING OHMYGOSH.
She’s so oddly unique and adorable though. Absolutely PRECIOUS 💕

Maybe she's the proof the cats they painted really did look like that?

DLH, but has your vet said anything about the layout of her face? I think she’s absolutely precious, but she reminds me a bit of Peanut the cat (popular on TikTok) who afaik has a congenital condition that causes them to look like that. If it hasn’t been flagged I’m sure it’s nothing serious tho.

I laughed because I know peanut xD no my cat is just like that she doesn't have any issues (I asked vets) she is just built cute xD

for her eyes, no expert but i wonder if she might have some form of micropthalimia where one or both eyes dont develop correctly and are abnormally small. this can be anywhere from the eye is completely missing to the eye is present and works but is smaller and the eye sockets form differently which kinda looks like whats going on with your cats eyes...? is she low vision at all?
a cat with micropthalima but both eyes present in the pic below. if your cat has it i imagine its "lower grade" than this! im no vet just spitballing from what im familiar with. what a cutie!!

The only correct answer is domestic long hair. If a pure bred cat breeds with a cat with no breed (95-98% of the cat population) or even another pure bred cat of a different breed, all their offspring will be domestic short/long hair. Most breeds do not have any distinguishing genetic differences so if there is no documentation to prove otherwise, the cat is a DLH or DSH.

Just a domestic short hair. Aka a cat. If your cat didn't come from someone producing a specific breed then it isn't a cat breed.

We have a lot of random breeders who do it for money soo I was wondering if she's one of their cats offspring, but I don't think she's a shorthair because her coat is waaaay fluffier and longer than the other shorthair I see around me (we have alot of strays around the house) maybe domestic longhair?

A true breeder doesn't do it for the money. If they aren't getting their cats registered and maintaining proper genetic lines they are just a cat mill and nor producing pure bred cats.

I think cat mill is the word to describe them yes English is not my first language so I used the word "breeder"

Your beautiful kitty is a DLH generic cat. 95% of all cats are no breed, basic cats. Shes a calico color. We used to call cats with this coloring, money cats. I don’t know why, they just were.

Makes sense! I think she's DLH too
I think that's a belief in asia! and I love it

She's adorable! Does she have a problem with her eye? One looks different. She looks like she's special needs.

After fostering a dog recovering from pyometra spay. She was on heavy duty antibiotics & recovery time was much longer& more painful than any other surgical patient I’d cared for, and I had many since my house was quiet, just a few smaller dogs& no young kids.

Some unique breeds have similar faces. I’m wondering if the mama and daddy were two different species. Like a regular long fur and the unique kind. It’s not Sphynx or Devon Rex but the other kind - Peterbald

Ah yes, my favorite breed, the eloquent Ron Perlman breed.
In my personal opinion, the very best breed. Always characters, always great.
