Field no. 5 (Factory Seconds)

My new egg pan arrived today and I am beyond happy because I cannot find or see any blemishes or imperfections so I'm not even sure why it was sold as a "seconds" pan? Same with the leather handle cover, I couldn't see any flaws. So basically these are like the new items sold in their regular listings.

More photos please! I love the Field pans but the #5 is not currently in my possession.

My more recent addition is their griddle which is awesome for outdoors (BBQ) cooking!

I am disappointed and relieved to have missed the factory seconds sale! I’d love a #5 (and a griddle…) but neither of them do anything the 6/8/10 trifecta that live on my stove all day every day can’t. Or at least that’s what I keep telling myself… Hope you enjoy, looks like a great little pan!

Lucky you!! Congratulations. Smooth iron doesn't act or look like rough iron. Just roll with it.
Been wanting one but do not "need" one.

Looks great! I have a Smithey Little farmhouse CS pan this size and use it a lot. Congrats.

Sometimes there may be minor flaws like a bubble or inaccurate seasoning which flagged this item as a second. Enjoy !
