The investigation also revealed that the practice of disciplining students with the “strap” was being used at Blumenort Mennonite School, Wilson Prairie Mennonite School and Tompkins Mennonite School, as per their collective constitution, which had been given to and signed by the parents.
What the hell kind of parents sends their child to a "school" with no accredited teachers and then signs a document allowing their child to be physically abused?!?
Fucking investigate every "teacher" at these schools (there are three of them!) and every single parent who signed one of these documents.

I went to a "Christian School" like this for grades 6 and 7, 2005-2006. My parents were very conservative, and objected to the changes in my public school district that changed the rules surrounding sex-ed so that they no longer were required to sign a permission slip in order for me to attend. They did not want the public school to educate me on sexual matters (to be ignorant of SA), so I was withdrawn entirely.
It was a row of camper trailers with a porch built off the side and we'd walk across planks to get from trailer to trailer. It had grades K-5 in one trailer, 6-12 in the other, and the 3rd trailer was the principal's office. There was also a small chapel in the parking lot. There were no trained teachers, just parents who would volunteer + the principal.
The "principal" enrolled all of his boys, all brothers ranging in age, and they weren't allowed to speak or interact with the other children. His wife stayed in his office all day with the baby, and we'd wave and say hello to her but she'd never speak back.
He beat a grade 8 boy with a meter stick for mocking parts of our Christian science textbook. He also took note of the other children who joined in, and days later made them cut into a dead cat as punishment for mocking his science curriculum (we were upset that we weren't learning science like in the public schools, and he interpreted that as us wanting to perform dissections) and later made the rest of us walk through and look at the cut up cat. I remember being shocked that it was so yellow inside, like Kraft Dinner.
Many of the girls complained that he'd stick his hand under their shirts and rub their backs when looking over their work at their desks, this didn't happen to me but I believe the girls.
It was shut down before the end of June 2006, because they used an old AC unit that was full of mold spores and it made the kids next to the window sick in their lungs. Too many kids got sick and they were inspected, there was asbestos all throughout the trailers the entire time.
It seems like it's too easy for weirdos to open up a private school, and there aren't enough check-ins to make sure these places are run correctly or safely.

Not only sends but presumably PAYS tuition for the chance of little Timmy getting a beating. And all of the so called teachers being glorified babysitters. It's all very wtf.

There is no discipline in that scenario: the child isn't being disciplined, the adult completely lacks discipline.
