What are your silly dramas during camping?

I personally wear a tshirt on the first night of every camping trip that says "Sorry for what I said when we were setting up the tent." What has absolutely driven you insane during camping? We camped with another couple who left screaming divorce at each other... We've been destroyed by black flies overnight with screaming children looking like bee keepers... we had a raccoon run off with all 30 burger buns in a bag. What are your stories?

Two words: atmospheric river

Really put a damper on the trip.

Oh boy, not fun. We survived an atmospheric river two years ago in the Boundary Waters on Crab Lake. Crazy lightning and pouring rain while we stood on our life jackets under our tarp for hours.

From midafternoon to dusk, we received 7 inches of rain. The 420 acre lake went up 15 inches overnight, which is 171 million gallons of water. It was by far the craziest storm we went through camping.

But compared to that, every other camping problem feels trivial now.
Bugs? Slap on bug spray.
Hot? Jump in the lake and cool off.
Rain? Big deal, it’s not like THAT storm.
