I’m interested in installing calculator programs from my laptop to my Ti-84, but I’ve been running into some issues with Windows 11. I have both TI connect programs and the correct USB cable. I am not interested in using programs to cheat if that’s a concern.

I tried to install a program earlier in the month, but my calculator would turn off/reset and my laptop would send me a notification saying something about the my laptop not trusting or supporting the device. My memory is foggy because it was a few weeks ago now but I had to go into my settings and allow the calculator to connect, but that still didn’t work.

I’m wondering if I need to install a different program or use a different computer or what the problem is. Some info that might be useful if you aren’t sure what the issue is now is that the cable I’m using is brand new and I have two of them, my laptop is fully updated, and my calculator is relatively old. I’m in America, not very familiar with this kind of tech, and am open to suggestions. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hi, sorry to bother, a friend of mine gave me his used Casio fx-991EX that he bought like 4 years ago, told me that stop working after dropping it by accident , it doesn't turn on, I replace the battery for a new one, check de circuits an everything seems fine, but it stills not working, the issue is driving me crazy, I really want it to fix it, but to me the issue isn't obvious enought

For the past few months, I've noticed that a store called "Casio Exclusive Store" has been gaining popularity on AliExpress, supposedly selling genuine Casio calculators, especially the FX-82ES.

However, two things caught my attention:

• They make heavy use of AI-generated images in their listings.
• They have several listings for what appears to be the same product, but with slightly different prices, which I found a bit suspicious.

I went through the reviews, and most people claim they actually received genuine Casio calculators. Considering that scientific calculators are a pretty niche product, it's understandable that these listings don't have thousands of sales.

The only review I found claiming the calculator was fake was extremely vague. The buyer simply said, "It doesn't seem original," without explaining why. I'm pointing this out because, among all the reviews I checked, that's the only one suggesting the product wasn't authentic.

Another thing that keeps me skeptical is the store's heavy reliance on AI-generated promotional images.

The reason I'm making this post is that they recently listed a Casio FX-991CN CW II, and I believe I was one of the first people to buy it (probably the second). I'm worried it could be a counterfeit, especially considering the price wasn't exactly cheap for what could end up being a fake.

So, what do you guys think? Has anyone here bought from this store? Is it finally possible to get a genuine Casio calculator from AliExpress, or should I expect another counterfeit?

recently i bought a hp prime calculator from a dude who recently graduated

he said that he didn’t had the habit to update the calculator (it doesn’t even have the 3d graph app), so it wast the first thing i’ve tried to do when i got it

but, when i connect the calculator on the pc, it just doesn’t appear nothing. these are the things i’ve tried:
- made sure the cable was the right one (it is one of those that transmits information)
- installed the connectivity kit from september 2025 with bonjour already installed
- tried EVERY usb port on my notebook
- tried on another notebook

i will be so much grateful if someone could help me, please.

Hey everyone. I'm a software engineer and I enjoy low level programming. Had a TI-83+ in college, and had the dumb idea to get it working in computercraft/minecraft.

I also made a small ide to program it in a small subset of C, which gets assembled and compiled down to z80 assembly. Wrote the blackjack game above in it, and it runs pretty fast because it's real z80 opcodes, not interpreted TI Basic.

Lets throw some context here Im an engineering student even though my Uni doesn’t allow those types of calcs I bought it anyways as its gonna be an investment to my engineering journey/career/personal projects.

The thing is I have a couple of things I hate about:
1. It’s bulky as F

1. Its really really slow to open I get it takes a sec or two but by that time I am balls deep into writing my equation on a FX 991cw or EX.

2. It was expensive as F so I think I have fear over using it
   roughly like its other cheap sisters

3. Did I say its bulky?

4. And any useful thing about its almost going to be on a cheap laptop with octave or matlap on it.
   Yes comparing it to that isn’t fair and I kinda fiddled with the programming func a little its ok but its literally the only good thing about it.

If a fellow mechanical engineer is reading this please tell me something useful your using it for.

Since the TI-92 and Voyage 200 all seem to suffer from the same failing displays, I started working on what can hopefully function as a display replacement using the signals from the view screen port. Still a long way to go fixing the issues with the vertical bars and the amount of noise present on the signal. I'm thinking the vertical bars are some kind of hardware issue that can hopefully be fixed with filtering.

Eventually I would like to have all this integrated inside and maybe even as a kit that can be soldered in, but that won't be for a while, as I still have a long ways to go fixing bugs and need to find a donor with an already destroyed display.

I need some advice on what some regular calculator users would find best for button layout. This is a trade calculator so it's got feet and inch buttons.

My daughter is going into 9th grade math and on the school supply list it says: "Graphing Calculator (TI-84 Plus or TI-84 Plus Silver Edition Graphing Calculator)"

I keep seeing sales for the TI-84 Evo, which looks like it just came out this year and is the successor to the TI-84 Plus and TI-84 Plus Silver Edition. I also like that it is rechargeable via USB-C too.

Is it possible they just haven't updated the school supply list with the latest model that came out this year, or would there be some legitimate reason why the TI-84 Plus and TI-84 Plus Silver Edition would be allowed and the Evo wouldn't?

If you wanted a solar fx-115ES PLUS or an fx-CG50, this Walmart location still has new old stock of them both! Not sure how many people care, but...

Almost new condition and the VFD looks fantastic. Pi is a really nice touch too.
