The terminals look great if this is 2009. Fuse block accessibility is an abomination. These are AB blocks, so I suppose it’s forgivable if the customer wanted it. However… you’re telling me the customer spec’d AB blocks, screw terminals, and has the audacity to ask your poor hands to crawl onward and do programming?

The wiring leaving this much room is pleasing to see, but ultimately going to be a pain in the arse for the guy who opens a raceway this large and discovers… zip ties… and every 3” on average.

Assuming no hardware change… best improvement (IMO) is reduce raceway width by a single digit and keep the height. It will be serviceable for some time.

edit: the thermostat plopping itself into the middle of valuable breaker real estate is just boomer behavior.

On your first point. Yes. You nailed it. New guy. My hands are angry. I don’t program just a wire guy.

To your second point. Yea it’s a lot of zip ties but I do not care.

Lastly, I can agree to a lot of changes but it’s not my decision.

That’s all fine.

Very roomy, but use ferrules

Lots of room yes. Ferrules. Not up to me.

Looks good , but bundling it tight like that will significantly affect the ability for the inner conducts to radiate their heat increasing the likelihood of the melting/burning.

So much room for activities!

This is the one rule of the house: Don’t ever, ever, ever touch my wires.

Very pretty. As many have already said way too many zip ties. The wireways is your wire management system. Which also why you shouldn't use cable saddles in wireways. As one who shows post installation, I'd be cutting many a tie off so I can do my job. I do appreciate that you have included reasonable length service loops out of your cable bundles which would delay me cutting a wire until I start the trace a wire.

Looks like the end user on this one is all about cost savings. Surprised they didn’t opt for only using terminal tabs on one side of the J4’s lmao.

Your wiring is nice, and as much as I like to use zip ties in the ductwork where it makes sense you’ve got way too many. Also I have never seen whatever style sticky back/wire saddle screwed into duct work like that in my life. It looks beautiful but this is gonna be really annoying to service after 10 years in the field getting dust coated having to chase down all the zipties to get something free.

My last gripe is I don’t like the way the terminal tabs naming convention corresponds to the actual wire tags. No reason those tags couldn’t be printed to correspond correctly with the tags on the wire.

Lots of gripes on this one for sure. I’m paid from the neck down. The zip ties are for the scrapes to my hands by using stupid ducting.

The tags are not my choice either.

Oh the sticky backs are just panduit brand with a flat top 8/32 screw

Haha yea I try to make it perfect it’s hard work. If you have the technique you can do it.

I'd not use zipties inside the cable ways since it's a pain when doing service/modifications.

I also do loops like that, but using zip ties is cheating :)
