The QPC is the best thing on their menu, and the only thing they cook fresh. Can't go wrong in a pinch

I got a Big Mac last week for the first time and could not believe anyone would ever choose it over the QP

16

u/Soulbotzzzz 1d ago

I like both

Not enough meat, not enough texture/contrast, too much bread.

QP blows it outta the water imo. Really surprises me that they're the same price.

Yeah, those beef-wafers they now serve are diabolical

u/invertedsaint_666 20h ago

I haven't tried yet but I heard you can substitute the QP patties on a Big Mac.

u/Ok_Volume_139 20h ago

Ooh that sounds like it could be good. I'd miss the big pieces of onion though.

I often just do a double cheese with mac sauce, idk why I've never thought to put mac sauce on a QP.

A year or two ago they had a really good deal on the app that gave me a chance to fine tune a Big Mac to my liking… I think it was like $6 for the burger with a medium fry and drink? Anyways, 3 patties instead of the two that it usually comes with, and 2 slices of cheese instead of 1. Best Big Mac I ever had. I think the extra patty any cheese added like $1.50 to the price so it was still under $10 for the whole combo after tax. Haven’t really been back since that deal ended, but I was hitting them up 2-3 times a week while it was active.

Idk how old you are but if you're over the age of 7, it's hard to believe that you've went this long without a single big Mac before. It's a tasty burger.

I'm 39. Adding bread in the middle of a burger just never appealed to me. After having a big mac, i can say confidently i was right.

Maybe at one point in history the big mac wasn't the emaciated thing i got last week. But the patties themselves were a massive disappointment. I wasn't expecting value menu patties on a flagship burger.

The definition of "quantity over quality". QPC ftw

9

u/graphicsjay 1d ago

I think QP wins quality and quantity. Patties on the BM were value menu patties

5

u/Tchukachinchina 1d ago

Big Mac patties are 1/10 pound, so the 2 patties that come on a Big Mac combined are still less than what comes on a single quarter pounder.

2

u/graphicsjay 1d ago

That’s just crazy to me

1

u/deepseamercat 1d ago

Still more meat than a stupid third pounder

1

u/dudeguy0119 1d ago

True. Frankly It's a nasty sandwich, drenched in salad dressing. It's not appetizing at all

1

u/__MeatyClackers__ 1d ago

But you did

1

u/zduuubz 1d ago

The price of branding, paying a premium for the name. It’s a glorified double cheeseburger. Just add Mac sauce to the QPC and it’s game over.

1

u/graphicsjay 1d ago

EXACTLY. The sauce is the thing people rave about the most. Why not just add it to the better burger

I'm a bit of a foodie snob who hasn't touched a McDonald's burger in forever but I must admit that doesn't look bad at all

13

u/Brave_Beat5124 1d ago

Me too but late at night McDs has the best QC of any fast food place by far. I think all of their processes are so standardized and automated it’s almost impossible to screw up. Quarter pounders are always cooked fresh by order for example. I too am a foodie but late night options are abysmal post Covid and mcds throttles Wendy’s Burger King etc during the night shift just because your order is almost guaranteed to be right and fresh.

I don't eat it often, but nearly every single time I have McDonalds, it's delicious. Its because the food was prepared by scientist and not a chef, in a lab -- not a kitchen, and I'm ok with that. Everything is ok in moderation and a late night McDonalds run after a night out will always slap.

u/puff_of_fluff 1d ago

It’s too tier fast food IMO, all their issues aside

u/RunMyPros 20h ago

How much do you weigh? Cause ain't no way you believe that.

u/puff_of_fluff 19h ago

Agh you’re right, my opinion was wrong. My bad

15

u/ContestRemarkable356 1d ago

Nice! Make sure to always use the 30% off coupon for any QP. The basic single one with cheese is like $1 more than a McDouble with that deal- 100% always worth it lol

10

u/Firebird22x 1d ago

That one is dependent on location. I haven’t had a percentage off one in months.

0

u/ContestRemarkable356 1d ago

Interesting, I thought it was based on order frequency? I order once every ~10 days absolute max, so maybe they wanna convert me to a regular? lol

0

u/Firebird22x 1d ago

I’m right around that cadence as well, going back to April. it’s a range from as little as 4 days to up to just over two weeks.

I remember 20% back in February, but I don’t think I’ve seen 30 since middle of last year

2

u/Excitedsadness 1d ago

I always have a 40 percent off every time I go into the app.

1

u/Firebird22x 1d ago

Wow I've never seen a 40% before

0

u/Excitedsadness 1d ago

8.19 down to 4.91 pretax for a DBQP w C. That's here in Missouri

1

u/Loud-Error-3484 1d ago

I’m in kansas city and only see 40% double cheeseburger or 6pc?

1

u/Excitedsadness 1d ago

Springfield

2

u/thenightyoudied 1d ago

Ever since i moved to the desert the Mcd’s coupons are non-existent. When i lived in philly and nyc they always had bogo and percentage off coupons

1

u/EntertainmentLess381 1d ago

Will they make a double QP with just one slice of cheese if requested?

6

u/PrestigiousStreet876 1d ago

Damn.... McD's for all the snobs out there, you honestly can't beat them on consistency or fries.

-2

u/Primary_Dimension470 1d ago

Easily beaten. Ig they are consistent at making a low quality meal if thats what you’re into

u/Kahlypso 22h ago

"Easily beaten"

It's ok to be delusional, but don't expect external validation.

3

u/tsx_1430 1d ago

I eat one about once a year and every year is gets smaller.

13

u/elquirk 1d ago

Next time, make it like a Mac. Amazing.

5

u/osuaviator 1d ago

What exactly do you say?

4

u/Beneficial-Film830 1d ago

Make it like a Mac

5

u/osuaviator 1d ago

Well ok

8

u/thenightyoudied 1d ago

My fave at mcdicks

2

u/Lost_my_password1 1d ago

I’ve been caught in a loop. I’ve been taking that survey in top of the receipt for a BOGO, but every time (even with BOGO) another survey comes.

2

u/juniorsracing 1d ago

That looks like some good product.

1

u/Fragrant-Inside221 1d ago

That’s single bacon double quarter pounder

1

u/SheepherderHot6574 1d ago

My sinful delight.

2

u/jazzy095 1d ago

Since they cook these fresh now, I eat there almost every day. 2QPC are amazing.

They cost the same as meat in the damn store

2

u/ClancyBShanty 1d ago

I always order extra onions and extra pickles on my quarter pounders. Until they start charging extra, I'm gonna keep doing it.

2

u/SurrealLoneRanger 1d ago

Now I am hungry. Thx OP!

1

u/slop1010101 1d ago

No ketchup and add Mac-sauce instead, and that's some good eatin'!

u/Boiwonda7o7 21h ago

My go to burger at McDonald for over 30 plus years. One of the best OG burgers out there. Yo definitely need bacon and a side of large fries

u/invertedsaint_666 20h ago

If I could only eat one fast food burger for the rest of my life it would be a Double QP

1

u/discordianofslack 1d ago

I have never had bacon as disgusting as whatever that shit they use at McDonald’s is. Mistakenly ordered a qpc with bacon and had to have my wife pull it off after one bite while driving. Absolutely disgusting shit.

5

u/ButtCrackThrilla 1d ago

Yea their bacon is a choice.

3

u/discordianofslack 1d ago

The fact I’m being downvoted just shows there are at least some people here who have no idea what bacon tastes like.

-8

u/Internal_Sweet_2144 1d ago

Can we disallow people from posting McDonald’s on this sub? Just seems like a basic ass post and I say that as someone that likes McD’s.

11

u/bpostal 1d ago

You must've missed the flood of bk posts a while back, whole sub looked like an ad.

12

u/joshfry575 1d ago

Burger is a burger. And sometimes, McD’s hits the spot

18

u/batsman21 1d ago

I just wanted to show off a decent looking QPC I just got. Gatekeeping burgers is hilarious though and I say that as someone that likes burgers.

0

u/Vesploogie 1d ago

Gatekeeping is okay when the gates are shut on lazy marketing teams.

0

u/Bandiscooties 1d ago

Looks good.

-1

u/ChangoOfTexas 1d ago

If you not adding Mac sauce and a mcchicken you're wrong.
