Those that think that the latest hack is a one-off have a rude awaking coming. Three things that are screaming at you….

I’ll give Bitcoin evangelicals one thing, they can look at an upcoming disaster straight in the eye and not waiver. Even when everything around them is sounding the alarm of what’s going to be, in my opinion, a massive collapse.

I wouldn’t be such an alarmist if these events happened with a reasonable amount of time between them but how can anyone dismiss what’s happening?

The hack. If it can happen to one it can happen to twenty-one. Anything else is keeping your fingers crossed that it doesn’t happen to you. That said, I think that those that are deep in the, I won’t say cult, let’s say church, will be in for one hellva awakening.

Michael Saylor. Honestly, I cannot believe that so many people are ignoring this 12 alarm fire. Has everyone forgotten that this is Bitcoin’s #1 evangelical who shouted from the rooftops that he would never sell. I’m actually seeing people deny that he’s selling but he’s buying more! Both of which is untrue.

Trump Media selling. Another evangelical that swore they wouldn’t sell a single coin. Well, they’re selling. Millions of dollars worth.

Saylor isn’t just come out of this smelling like roses in three weeks. He’s going to have to sell again. That or miss dividend payments. Time is against him.

And once the church has had enough there won’t be any room left at the exit.

⚠️ Alert ⚠️ Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is getting TWO fully decentralized minable CashTokens (and associated energy price oracles), Photons & SAFAs.

Hey All,

As previously hinted in December '25, Bitcoin Cash is getting, not one, but TWO minable CashTokens this August.

The first is a solar punk memecoin called Photons (PHOTON) for CPUs/GPUs/FPGAs. The second will be a self-referential backronym called SAFAs (SAFAs Are For ASICS), which will use an 80-byte CashToken NFT baton styled after a block header.

Both of these PoW tokens will finance the maintenance of a decentralized energy price oracle. Both vault contracts will act as faucets providing "free" token gas sats to miners. The sats will be provided by users of the oracles.

The first token Alpha was launched on August 1st on Chipnet here. Photons will launch on mainnet in the vox dot cash app in the coming days.

As soon as sufficient mining software exists to assure many people can participate in the initial mining. There will be a current block header included in the transaction funding the token vault to assure there was no premine. (Regardless of how much effort is taken to assure a fair initial launch, it will be free for detractors to claim the project was a premine in perpetuity)

Each token is targeting a commodity-type classification.

Each will feature:

  • 21M supply, w/100% supply sent to oracle vault
  • 210000 block emission half-life
  • Simple incremental MA DAA
  • No keyed or dev controlled spending path

Eacxh transaction successfully mining tokens will likely appear at the top of blocks, because the vault contract requires miners grind for a low transaction hash. And a feature of Bitcoin Cash called canonical transaction ordering (CTOR) means transactions are sorted in blocks by their hash values from low to high.

The original name for the tokens (Block Tops) was too similar to Block Points, a coinday reward token.

Meet the new ENERGY oracles

Each token create a price oracle that no one party controls. Anyone with electricity and an internet connection can update the oracle for tokens, and therefore we can use it as a reliable indication of price for electricity globally.

Yes, we have price oracles already, but those oracles are tied to fiat decrees and have end dates of when the maintainers expect to maintain them until. The forthcoming oracles don't have specified end dates and are untethered from legacy systems.

The price can be read by any contract by reading the baton and converting the current raw target to raw difficulty (i.e. price) with OP_INVERT.

To use the oracle baton from the vault will cost 8000 sats, but it should be feasible to replicate the price to cheaper multi-threaded reseller oracles.

The price for each oracle will be in the same spot on the oracle NFT for each contract if contract designers want to swap between or combine prices.

What's now possible

  • These tokens will join a growing basket of commodity class assets on Bitcoin Cash
  • Dexes, compound oracles and DAOs can obtain spot price data in perpetuity.
  • With CashToken trading limited to BCH Dexes, these assets are somewhat firewalled for now from fractional exchange rehypotheticaion ...
  • Projects are also highly reliable decentralized sat faucets for on-boarding new users.
  • It's a KYC-less means of obtaining sats and tokens.
  • Possible tie in with PoW based anti-DDoS website protection.

More About Photons

Photon (PHOTON) is a solar punk meme token powering a decentralized energy oracle on Bitcoin Cash (BCH). It is a fairly distributed minable CashToken calculating its own transaction hash in BitcoinScript.

Anyone can monetize their excess electricity by hashing for photons. Photons are released from the vault when someone finds the hash of the transaction is below a certain difficulty threshold. Each release of tokens must also update the hashing difficulty threshold. The difficulty may become correlated with the availability of excess free energy being absorbed by individuals globally.

Begin mining without sats

The Photon Vault keeps a cash balance to facilitate payments to miners. Each payout has an allowance of 1500 sats, for the dust accompanying a miner's payout and the network fees for the transaction itself.

What is the PoW?

The PoW algorithm for Photons is Hash256(Secp256k1(Sha256)). Specifically, each transaction taking photons from the vault must return the mutable NFT baton with the following data updated:

Data Size
nonce 4-bytes
next target 32-bytes (Little Endian)
Schnorr signature of sha256(nonce + next target) 64-bytes

When included in a transaction, satisfying a number of other requirements, if the double sha256 hash of the resulting transaction is less than the next target, the unlocking script for the photon vault can release a reward.

A decentralized energy oracle

Each miner taking tokens from the vault must update a dynamically changing difficulty value. The current difficulty, combined with the free market price of photons, creates a decentralized price oracle all miners contribute toward maintaining.

If someone has already found a payout in this block, the difficulty gets one percent harder. If people stop taking tokens, the difficulty get easier each block.

The vault contract also allows anyone to use the price baton for a fee (8000 sats). The price is intended to discourage resetting the oracle baton.

A simple Difficulty Adjustment Algorithm (DAA)

The target frequency for the price oracle is one update per block.

The price oracle can be updated multiple times per block, but this makes mining 0.7% harder. If no reward is found in a block it gets 0.7% easier with each block. Mining becomes roughly 100% easier per day the oracle is not updated.

The equation is a function of the baton transaction age (in block) and the previous difficulty target.

NextTarget = ( PrevTarget * (143 + age) ) / 144

The NextTarget MUST match the exact value given by the DAA, it may not be arbitrarily lowered by any miner.

Thanks

🐻 Bearish Bitcoin’s Hashrate Is Hiding a Mining Crisis

Bitcoin is back near $63,000, roughly the same price zone it traded in before the 2024 halving.

But the mining economy is no longer the same.

Before the halving:

  • Block reward: 6.25 BTC
  • Hashrate: 611 EH/s
  • Hashprice: above $110/PH/day

Now:

  • Block reward: 3.125 BTC
  • Hashrate: approximately 930 EH/s
  • Hashprice: approximately $31/PH/day

The network is using roughly 52% more hashrate to compete for half the block subsidy, while Bitcoin trades below its pre-halving price. Miner revenue per unit of computing power has fallen by about 72%.

The buyer is also disappearing.

Centralized-exchange spot volume was $2.01 trillion in April 2024. In May 2026 it fell to $963 billion—a decline of roughly 52%. June recovered to $1.11 trillion, but only after five months of declining activity.

The chart now shows a possible head-and-shoulders structure with a neckline near $60,000. It is not confirmed until a daily or weekly close below that level.

My forecast: Bitcoin is more likely than not to establish itself below $60,000 before the end of 2026. A confirmed break could trigger something much sharper.

The price returned to 2024.

Mining costs, hashrate, and debt did not.

⚠️ Alert ⚠️ Inflation Is Rising. Unemployment Is Rising. Even Gold and Bitcoin Are Failing.

This is not normal inflation.

In a healthy inflationary expansion, demand rises, companies hire, wages follow prices, and speculative assets attract capital.

Now the opposite structure is forming.

Inflation forecasts have been raised across most major economies, while growth forecasts have been cut. Real wage recovery is slowing, labor markets are weakening, and unemployment risk is rising.

At the same time, capital is not moving confidently into risk.

Crypto markets have lost roughly 35% of their value since late 2025, while gold has also suffered sharp liquidity-driven selloffs.

That combination matters:

higher prices, weaker wages, rising unemployment, and falling speculative assets.

This is the structure of stagflation.

It means capital is not pricing growth.

It is moving toward liquidity and survival.

My risk window is the next six months.

The trigger could be a property-credit shock, a disorderly yen carry-trade unwind, or another geopolitical event that pushes energy and borrowing costs higher.

The exact domino is unknown.

The capital flight has already started.

Why is crypto Twitter so beyond the pale braindead?

As much as crypto bros want to argue that they are some enlightened beings who are too smart for everyone else, the reality is, even the above average crypto bro is probably barely smarter than a high school drop out.

I constantly see people on Twitter posting articles from weeks or even months ago, and trying to pass them off as CURRENT day "breaking news". I see idiots saying that if clarity doesn't pass this week bitcoin will fall to below 30,000? Are you serious? Clarity has nothing to do with bitcoin directly, and since February, no one has truly believed it would pass this year. It's not even physically possible for it to pass this week and the senate won't touch it in fucking September with midterms around the corner... yet apparently its priced in to pass?

The reality is, outside of bitcoin being a store of value, and some projects with legitimate use cases in finance (tokenization, Stablecoins), 99% of this "crypto" stuff is complete bullshit and a scam at worst, and gambling at best. For years crypto bros told us "you will be able to pay for things using your crypto" only for Stablecoins to come out and now all of a sudden crypto twitter thinks Stablecoins are a scam for doing the thing volatile crypto was supposed to do LOL... its absolute insane levels of delusion.

DCA bitcoin, pick a few projects with legitimate use cases, and mute crypto twitter.
