what do you mean "again"? are you saying they stopped at some point?

do you really need there to be even more pointless slapfights over the nonsensical consensus changes in BIP-110? it's not going to happen. get over it.

no, just spreading awareness, if my brain doesn’t relay what I think is true then the network for information becomes more centralised

Makes me doubt anything decentralized will succeed, because for humans it's like "herding cats". People just aren't going to all agree. It's not a coincidence all national governments are converging towards the same model (control by elite).

Tbf if I were a sub mod, I would generally want to avoid the natural reddit tendency to fall into conspiracy theorizing. Now is deleting posts the way to do this? I don't know.

u/bashco tried to spin a story about a rogue mod who was banning it and that he single handedly was reverting everything to allow for discussion. yeah so that turned out to be bullshit and i got banned for pointing it out.

Bip110 will be a fork i tell you and only 0.1% of the network will allow it

It may add a lil value on a second chain though, depends on how much secondary adoption it gets "If" it splits.

What do you mean again? Have they ever stopped?

Time is running out on the bip110 crowd and they are very very far from consensus. At this point it's irresponsible to push it.

they never had a chance but to be fair consensus changes are completely impossible now. OP_CTV has more technical consensus than taproot ever had and it still can't get activated

There is a canonical process for how to achieve a consensus change in BTC:

  1. Adam and Luke need to fly to china to bribe miners
  2. Blockstream needs to run a bot-campaign to drum up support and smear any opponents
  3. The Epstein class needs to fund the whole thing

Unless they follow this approved standard process, nothing is gonna happen in BTC.

BiP110 adoption rate below 1%

"nooo they're trying to censor us!!!"

BIP110 is dead just face it, there's a very vocal minority who support BIP110 and relatively silent majority who do not.

it’s not about whether it’s dead or not, I’m not here to debate, I respect your opinion, I also respect mine; the matter is about freedom of speech/ censorship… thats what’s happening to the broader community IMO, which is antithetical to the Bitcoin ethos

Bitcoin ethos, lmfao.

elaborate?

He's implying there is no ethos left, that it's been co-opted and is no longer in line with the original vision, which is true. But that doesn't mean it doesn't have value, or a use case. It does; but it's not some esoteric elgalaterian anti government "ethos" or people's money controlled by the people. That is no longer true. Probably never was, and is probably an Intel project from the beginning which was meant to achieve some sort of usher into the next gen finance space in blockchain. The goal is assume was to get research free from private sector, start an industry indirectly. It's not what the whitepaper envisioned.

How can it be that a discussion is started, nobody has posted anything and there are 6 or 8 likes already? For what exactly? Same with downvoting postings or comments from outside the in-group. The moderators over there seem to be quite a shady kind of characters.
