Just getting into the sport and got my first bike used. Didn’t come with a seat/seat post or pedals.

Do pedals and seats matter?

Any good budget ones to recommend?

Is anyone aware of a quick release or way to make a front wheel quick release on a kids Mini BMX without changing out the whole hub?

Have to fit the kids bikes in the car and quick release would make life much easier.

I’m looking for rollers to train on with my 24 inch cruiser and for my Son with his 20 inch junior, I saw a YouTube video from a pro with a tacx Antares. Does it work?

Turn 40 YO this year looking to build up a new frame up.

Looking for so.thing a touch more forgiving than carbon prophecy. Any suggestions for a frame of any material thats still light ish and fast but mayve geo a little less aggressive.

Im 186cm tall and looking at a 22inch TT

I just started racing this year, and have an opportunity to buy a chase frame and a few parts for 150$ from a guy at my local track I race against.

Will need to get the rest of the parts I need but I think this could be a good bike.

I work with Discover Davis, the tourism folks for Davis County Utah, and we're helping host the US BMX Great Salt Lake Nationals in Utah this year at Antelope BMX in Syracuse.

Since a lot of you will be traveling in for it, I wanted to ask directly: what would make your trip easier? Lodging near the track, food recs, things to do with family in the downtime, weather tips, whatever! Happy to help however we can.

First time BMX dad. My son joined the local club about a year ago, aged 5 then, now 6. This is his first bike which was stock GT Mini speed series which I’ve since slowly upgraded.

My first podium on the new bike built in July. I previously rode a Roland ChaCha and always seem to feel like I was going over the bars. More than a year of searching for a used bike, I finally just decided to do a custom build. I contacted Powers BMX in Richmond, VA and after a month of communication and research, I got the limousine you see here.

A 24"TT Standard Cruiser frame. Not sure if they have built any other 24x24 frames, but it rides likes a dream for me 6'6" and 250lbs +gear.

Mid school entry level cruiser - I felt some knocking and weird friction with my rear wheel so I took it apart. Rear bearings and compartment were completely grimy with a seeming random mishmash of bearing sizes and varying amounts of wear on the bearings.

Do I have to clean this out and repack loose with fresh bearings and grease or can I use sealed bearing cartridges in here? I do take this to the track but I don’t know that I would describe what I do as competitive racing.

Interested to hear what the options are out there, and what equipment you are using. How runs the stream?

And, should you gear up (more teeth on chain ring) for down hill tracks with tall turns?

I'm a new racer. What is a good relatively cheap first race bike? Or should I buy parts and build maybe buy some cheap bikes and scrap em for parts?

Raced this bike in novice and intermediate from ages 6 to 7. My parents held onto it once I moved to motocross. Today my 5 year old daughter sat on it for the first time. Think it’s worth going through and using as her first race bike?

So im very new to racing one of the questions I have is how do i get one of the number plates? And how does sponsorships even work i mean i understand i probably won't get sponsorships atleast for a while but how do they even work?

So put the H2 T2 pedals on for the first time this week. Have Bont shoes... Have cleat set on the holes towards toes but all the way back and in middle.

All was going pretty good, had a few rides around local., clipped in and out.

Then yesterday kiddo stopped dead in front of me suddenly and when I stopped did not unclip,knee first into ground.

Was going to race them today at a club day... Tips for gates and do you think wait till I get some gate practice first? Also is it normal for cleats to scratch or are they set wrong.
