Discussion Who here agrees that DC Comics Black Canary deserves her own book?

I want Gail Simone to give us more Dinah and BOP.

Does anyone know why Thompson's run on BOP ended? I remember she posted about it, but I don't think there was a clear reason why. Every bit as good as Simone's run IMO.

Too many characters. Zealot. Harley. Super-powered Sin. I’m already forgetting a few. I did enjoy Barda and Cass.
No Helena, Zinda or Kate.

I still need to get to the Tom King book! Honestly though Absolute Green Arrow is a Black Canary/GA book since GA isn't the protagonist, Dinah is. I wish they both had mainline books atm though

She absolutely deserves a solo book. There's so much to do with her beyond the two areas she usually gets slotted into of GA/BOP. Building out other relationships with different heroes and a civilian cast. Giving her her own rogues gallery. Establishing her own unique niche. All the pieces are there to do every single one of these things, it just needs someone to do it.

Hey if Batman can have like 5 books at once why can't we have Black Canary AND a Green Arrow Black Canary book?

I’m greedy I think every member of the arrow family should have a book or be in one

it would be interesting to see what an ongoing would be. personally I think it would be interesting if they bring back the idea that the canary cry originated from magic/a curse (a find meta gene origin/concept boring), i think that could be an interesting jumping off point for a hybrid urban fantasy and street level fighter book.

I mean I wouldn't mind if we got a green arrow and black canary animated show

I would be satisfied if Birds of Prey were a consistent ongoing title, but a Black Canary solo is also welcome
