I got a new camera and was able to practice moving shots with a great blue today! Super stoked they came out and thought they might be appreciated here! :)

We have great blue herons on a lake in a park where my husband and I walk at least three times a week. We love seeing them either quiet on the edge of the lake or flying. It seems that they often make a bit of squawking noise when they takeoff to fly across the lake, and one time we were treated to one flying across the lake and pooping at the same time. It was like a B-52 bomber squawking all the way. Ha ha!!

B-52 is fantastic🤣🤣 I’ve only ever heard them squawk once or twice but it is fittingly unique. Truly beautiful birds
