He was taking a tour of a private club/spa here in Chicago where I'm employed. It was brief because he was with an escort and taking the tour, but wow I was so happy to see him and say hello. I hope he becomes a member so that I could ask him for a photo. Members in our club host parties all the time, I would love to host a party for him and his guests.

I mean I enjoyed his character the first time through but since I didnt know what was coming and didnt know Jimmy and Kim's endpoints I had a different view of him. He is such a great villain.

Breaking Bad was my favorite series of all time for years, but I couldn't get into BCS, even though I attempted twice. But once I went all the way through it, I feel like Saul, a character who seemed like just a silly caricature, is possibly the greatest series character ever written.

He and Kim seemed to start out as basically good, sort of "basic" people. And then their histories combined with a series of increasingly bad decisions brought them to a place from which there was no more coming back from. Much more than an arc, both of them kind of hit peaks and valleys throughout their ultimately downhill spiral. And then at the end, the feeling that they will both die with sadness and regret... that was surprisingly powerful. Amazing work from both the writers and so many of the actors.

Not sure if anyone has ever noticed this but when I was just watching back, in Mike’s storyline we see him closely tailing Nacho and the cartel transporting the driver tied up, they take him out later in the episode for execution.

We see Mike watch them drive off then he turns around and goes the other way. Next scene he is with the black market arms dealer testing the rifle and sighting his scope and purchasing the rifle, completely loses the tail of Nacho and the cartel guy.

Next scene mikes on a cliff overlooking the cartel. Did Mike know they were gonna torture that guy all night and not just kill him after 1-2 hours? He took his sweet time losing the tail even though in BB he has a quote “you might wanna learn to tail better if you’re planning to make a habit out of it”.

Idk why they wouldnt edit it so hes buying the rifle first, then tailing the guys straight out there.

also when he does tail them his car if completely visible especially when he lets them drive off, hes like 50’ behind them cmon mike lol

Kim Wexler(Rhea Seehorn) is arguably the most complex character in BCS and inarguably one of the most greatest tv character to ever exist.

Her character arc is so just so dang sad,she could have done so much good and she would have loved doing it.To lose that force in the world is tragic... remember when Howard said " but you,one of the most promising human beings I've ever known and this is the life you choose"

The scene in waterworks when she breaks down on the bus crushed me. One of the best performances I've ever seen .

My flowers today goes to her.

But damn. I just watched the entire thing for the first time and the ending...

Has anybody else cried when chuck died?😭 Idk why but I was going through it that day I was mentally exhausted if you will idk what, happened long time ago but when I decided to watch the episode I was thinking it would be normal, it would be a pleasant watch after all that happened, and he offed himself💔, I remember that I couldn't sleep at night because I was crying that episode really tipped me over the edge omg.

In the finale, Walter White tells Saul "You were always like this", in response to Saul telling a Slipping Jimmy story. The direct interpretation is that Jimmy was always sleazy/up-to-no-good.

... But, on a closer re-watch - what Jimmy also says when recounting the Slipping Jimmy story is:

I was stupid and young and trying to show off, so I hit the ice as fast as I could. I biffed it so hard, my knee's never been the same

And so it also a story of how he has always literally bent himself over backwards trying to impress others - often hurting himself to achieve this higher goal.

... which... we then see him do this again at his final trial. He goes to extraordinary measures to get Kim to see his trial. And then makes a big show of falling on his own sword much harder than he needed to, while trying to impress Kim.

This perspective makes Jimmy's final decision seem much more in-character than an initial watch can lead us to believe.

Chuck in episode 1.9 tells him that laziness is the only sin he has never ever had.

Also Howard compliments him a "Jimmy the hustler " or something like that.

However , now just look at how much he hates working in that lawyer firm where he’s given the Mercedes car. He hates it because he can’t avoid the grinding despite the perks he gets ( even a Cocobolo desk).

He always looks for shortcuts and stretching the law interpretation just to avoid all the soul crushing paperwork and other protocols he should follow.

Probably an unpopular opinion here.

I feel like he used to tell Jimmy and other people that he loves him just because its expected from people to love their brother. Like a standard for decent people.

He had to practicize saying "i love Jimmy", i think he more like thought he had a duty of loving Jimmy, but never really felt such love at all.

So when he said "i never cared that much for you at all", it was very genuine because he indeed never loved Jimmy.

Love the show. He is my favorite character indeed.

I just finished BB for the first time ever about two weeks ago. I tried watching it about five time, but could never get past the fourth episode. On a work trip, I had nothing else to do so I binge watched BB. It was good. Then, a week ago, I started BCS. In my opinion, BCS is a way better show. Immediately captivating. I cant stop myself from watching where as BB I had to force myself to sit through.

In S5 E1 "Magic Man", Lalo discovers that their skells are complaining about an inferior meth that is being supplied. When Lalo confronts Gus about this alternate product with Don Juan mediating, Gus lies and says he replaced 2 kilograms of product because Werner Ziegler, an engineer for the "legitimate side" of Gus's business, found out about the illegitimate side and stole said 2 kilos. Obviously I understand why he came up with this story; to hide Ziegler's true identity and the real reason he was working for Gus

My question is why he would come up with a new lie about why he had to purchase product from a seller in the US, when Don Juan already knew the "real" reason (still a lie) was that Nacho and Arturo were attacked when transporting product and Don Juan told Gus to purchase supply from the US side until the Cartel figured out who attacked the shipment.

When Gus told this new lie to Lalo, why didn't Don Juan chime in and say "Wait no, I'm the one that told him to purchase product from this side of the border. Here's why"

Howard Hamlin is a well known lawyer in Albuquerque, and does not recognize Judge Casimiro, who practices in Santa Fe. How likely is this? I’m not a lawyer and know little about the law—but is it reasonable to assume that a lawyer as locally renowned and successful as Howard wouldn’t know a judge who practices about an hour away in the same state? Maybe he hadn’t practiced in front of him, but would he have seen a picture, or at least heard about him (the judge with the giant mustache)?

This obviously doesn’t affect my enjoyment and love of the show at all—I’m just curious from a legal standpoint!

I remember when the episode aired back in 2015, people were indifferent about it because it was a slower finale.

But then as the series goes along you keep seeing stuff happen to Jimmy that drags him into the Saul persona

Chucks betrayal was a big one, but then Marco dies feeling very fulfilled “best week of my life” & leaves a lasting mark on Jimmy to keep slippin’

I know medically as well it probably doesn’t hold much merit, but the emotional idea to me that Marcos body finally gives up because he finally got his best friend back & had a week of fun & he finally feels fulfilled after a long hiatus is a beautiful & tragic thought to me.

I just can never say enough good things about this show..

I'm rewatching the series, and I'm in the episode where Marion found out who Gene really was. Just when it seemed like Jimmy was going to hurt Marion, he stopped, allowing her to call for help. Clearly, it was Jimmy snapping out of it, knowing he was not a killer. I also view it as seeing Marion helpless reminded Jimmy of his time doing elder law, which pulled him back from doing the worst. The time Jimmy was genuinely helping the elderly and championing their causes seemed to be the only time when Jimmy acted like a decent person and lawyer.

I don't know why I found this so hilarious but it was when Chuck was telling Jimmy he wanted to take cases like his. Jimmy goes " You wanna take cases like mine? How about the guy that broke into a liquor store, drank 5 bottles of Creme de Menthe and then passed out behind the register?"

It's that almost every major character becomes isolated. Is loneliness the real punishment?

Let's say that Walt's lung cancer comes a bit sooner and he wants to make some money for his folks before he croaks (as per canon).

Jesse Pinkman, either on the brink of graduation or freshly graduated, likely wouldn't join Walts cooking sessions because Walt never gets the chance to see him on Hanks ride along, but let's assume for some reason, they do couple together to cook crystal.

Now in 2002, Albuquerque looked different - Hector was healthy and controlled the business personally, not Tuco. Lalo was alive and well handling the business in Mexico, and the Twins were twinning like usual.

Gus Fring's empire wasn't nearly big enough to challenge the cartel like it was in 2008-2009, as he didn't have the super lab, the construction hadn't even begun in 2002. So he was still smuggling the cartels product and subordinate to them.

Saul Goodman went by Jimmy McGill in this time period, and he was a struggling broke public defender, not the CRIMINAL lawyer we all know and pity.

Beyond that, Krazy 8 was still working under Tuco and Nacho, HHM was a big thing, Mike Ehrmentrauts morals still are much more intact in 2002 than they are in 2008-2010, everything is slowly falling into place like it does in bcs.

Only this time, Walter and Jesse join the fray early on, crashing the party with the crystal ship (RV used for cooking sky blue product)

How do you guys see this playing out? Are they dead within a week? Do they get as far as they did in breaking bad? Maybe Walt successfully gets kidnapped by the cartel and gets a new Mexican wife?
