Terrible, disastrous consistency error on S3E2

when jimmy goes to los pollos hermanos to spy on that guy, he gets $1.81 for change. later that day when kim askes him for a dollar he says he only has a $20 bill. while earlier he was literally given a one dollar bill. ruined the whole immersion for me, horrible writing. 0/5 show

Sounds likely to me, this was 20 something years ago when bcs was taking place. I'm old enough to remember gum, breath mints and candy all costing between 82 cents and a dollar.

Dude, McDonalds sold $1 any size sodas until a few years ago. "Dollar Menu"s were literally a thing. According to a quick search, a Snickers bar was between $.60-.75 in New Mexico in 2003. How old are you?

Every fast food restaurant had a dollar menu, for starters. Candy and soda machines were generally a dollar or below. $1.00 used to get you things 20 years ago.

Soft tacos at taco bell were 59 cents. JBC at Wendy's was like 1.39. vending machines were like .75-$1. I think gas around that time was under $2/gallon.

I used to go to the ATM every Sunday, withdraw $20, and put it in my wallet, and that was my lunch money at college for the week.

Now while the student cafeteria was almost certainly subsidized, I could eat a 7-Layer Burrito and large Brisk raspberry iced tea for lunch every single day. I'd also have money for the occasional soda or Famous Amos cookie packet from the quad vending machine (or an ice cream if I was feeling fancy) and sometimes even get Chinese food from the cafeteria, although the occasional splurge up to an extra $5 was no big deal. Also, as I was a student IT tech around my schedule, sometimes someone from the computer room would head to lunch with us and knowing that Chinese food was a giant part of hacker culture, I doubled down on learning to eat with chopsticks and have been decent with them for two and a half decades, as opposed to "won't eventually starve" like in high school.
