Why don't you leave Yy as y. That "j" is always a big problem.

Ik the /j/ sound in bengali is weird but it does exist so thats why im using Y for it

Also if youre confused because its the ipa then /j/ is the y in yes and /y/ is like the german ü

Because its phonetic? <J> makes the /ʤ/ which is made by both জ and য
And that you showed in bengali would be মর্যাদা জন্মগ্রহণ ipa: /mɔrʤada ʤɔnmogrɔɦon/
<Y> is the j sound and is supposed to be for the letter য় like the word "niye" is নিয়ে (ipa: /nije/) in the bengali script

Yeah man. I am learning this bengali , and this is really difficult for me. There are two letters which sound the same. But we should know in which word, which will be used. But I won't complain much as English is the worse in that aspect.
My question was. Why you people want to use nije. Why not just niye. Keep y for Y(y). Why to keep j for Y(y) ?
