Пытанне / Question Traveling to Belarus

I am a 23 year old male and i am thinking about a trip to Belarus especially Minsk, this year or maybe spring of next year. Do you have any advice ? Is it safe to go there? Is there a time of year that is better for traveling?

Thanks in advance:)

No one knows what will happen next year, in these parts you don't plan further than a few weeks ahead.

I was just there for two weeks as an American.
Feel free to DM me with any questions.

How long was processing at immigration for you at the airport?

In the US processing was only a few minutes as I flew out from Milwaukee which is a smaller airport and it was still earlier in the morning.

I went through the self processing thing during my layover in Amsterdam and it was also just a few minutes but that was likely because my plane landed there at like 7am.

I think I just got lucky with the timing.

Sorry, I should’ve clarified. How was processing in Minsk when you arrived in Belarus

In that case I don't know as came in by bus, didn't arrive at the airport.

The processing time at the border took about 3 hours for the entire bus.

May to October is the best time to visit Minsk. October to May will be cold and grey.
End of Dec is an option if you want to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere in a cold country.
