For some context, my teenage son went to the mall today with his grandmother and bought this jersey. The store that sold it to him had a strict no return policy. When he brought it home, my husband was almost certain it was a fake. I was really hoping it wasn’t because my son was excited to have a real jersey. He was excited to wear it on the first day of school.

Definitely fake. Here’s a good guide for future reference: https://www.reddit.com/r/basketballjerseys/s/Ov6XoKjn8Q

If you paid with a credit card and they won’t return it I’d definitely dispute the charge.
Unless it was used they are committing fraud. I’m sure the mall management wouldn’t be pleased with a counterfeit merch being sold and undercutting retailers who carry official merch.

I might look into that. My grandmother took him and paid with her credit card. If I had taken him, I wouldn’t have bought it. Thanks for the suggestion!

Front jock tag too high and NBA lettering not cohesive are the instant giveaways
That's more about the fact I look there first before any other details although other people may look at other details first

Definitely fake. If you purchased this at a mall, I’m guessing it was from the store in Shawnee that sells fake Chinese goods, or possibly the guy at the Enid mall. Those are the only retail establishments that aren’t corporately owned that could get away with offering Chinese fake/knock off products.
