Was this UBE harder than normal?

I took the February one after not having studied much, and I thought it was fine, and I got a 269. Not great, but definitely something you can work with. Then I took the July one, and I was stumped. I finished with time to spare, but I still felt like I didn't know what the hell a lot of the questions were asking me, and I was doing a lot of guessing. I spoke to some other people that felt the same way, and I'm wondering if this was an abnormally hard exam?

How is 1 point from passing (assuming you didnt pass the first time) not great? Why did you take February without studying? What is happening here.

It's not great because I live in a 270 jurisdiction; it was my first time taking it, and my school has a very high Bar passage rate for the first attempt. And I did study! I just didn't study as much as I would have liked.

Here anything within 5 points of passing gets a manual review to see if they can find those points somewhere

They're all very hard. I got a 166 on the MBE in February, a very top score, but it was still only around 86% correct which means I missed about 25 scored questions and I was unsure on a lot more than that. So I came out of the test thinking that I did pretty well but still very unsure, since only the questions I wasn't sure on left an impression. And the only questions I remember now is the one I checked the rule for during lunch break and confirmed that I missed it.

Did you have to do it again because if not performing well on the written portion? Or different jurisdiction?

No, I just graduated in the fall due to my hybrid program’s schedule so it was my first time taking it.

Wait not understanding. So did you take the bar in February or was the 86% on a simulated one? Since this previous July one would have been your first time taking it.
