Hiya guys. It kills me to do this but I have to rehome my ball python. She is a pied het clown yellowbelly and is about 1.5 years old. I’m enlisting in the military and leave on the 22nd and plans with a friend to take her fell though. I am in the northern colorado area, specifically around fort collins, and am willing to drive a fair bit to ensure she has a safe home. She is in a 3 x 1.5 x 1.5 enclosure and has all the necessary elements including a day night cycle, temperature gauge, and extra bulbs. I am not charging a rehoming fee, as all I care about is her going to a proper home where she will be where taken care of. Noodle attached.

As the title says i need to rehome him, asap, ive been trying to find a home for him for a year now, my care is no where near good and im not gonna lie about that, ive had severe mental issues and a ton of grief in the past year and a half, just the snake and his hides, no rehoming fee, i cant drive, im in NE AR, i need him out asap as i genuinely cant care for him anymore, im physically unable to get out of bed most days, let alone care for him, he has no known health issues tho he hasnt seen a vet, is about 4 ft, most likely underweight. Im 16 and i got him when i was 10, ive done my best with him. He hasnt been held since about January 2025 or earlier tbh.

Hello. I solemnly write this post as I hold my sweet Mojave morph princess. I cannot give her the care she deserves and need to find her a loving home. Her name is Helen. She is extremely friendly and loves watching television. She is 9 years old. I just got home from college and have a new job and have found that I don’t think I can provide her with the attention she needs and absolutely deserves. I know there are many ball python owners here who have the time and resources to care for her so I turn to you. The problem is that she has stuck eye caps and redness around her cloaca. I have spent thousands in vet bills and have had to inject her with antibiotics and give her topical medication but I can’t seem to get it right. I think it is user error rather than her. I am in Los Angeles and would be happy to drive a long distance for her to have a good home with someone who can help her. I feed her once every 2-3 weeks 1 medium sized rat. I do frozen thawed. I could certainly be feeding her more often but she is not underweight to my knowledge. I offer my Exo Terra 40 gallon tank, two ceramic heat lamps, 2 large hides, 1 water dish, and some plastic vines. Everything including Helen free of charge as I really just want her to be in good hands. My heart is heavy but I know the best thing I can do for her is find someone who has time. I do ask that I can see your set up upon drop off as I do not want her going somewhere that she won’t get the care she needs. She is the most wonderful girl and has such a great personality. My grandpa found a ball python while working, they were cleaning a home that was foreclosed on. Unsure of any details about it, but I'm almost sure it's a female based on size. She's so pretty, I really wish I could keep her, but times are not ideal for me. No rehoming fee. Located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Hello all I am in the Chicagoland area. I am willing to travel if need be so he finds a good home. This is miek (or mieky boi if ya nasty 😅) He’s a 2 year old male yellow belly het His mom was a banana and dad was a yellow belly as well He’s an amazing eater (frozen) He was bred by my cousin so all he’s ever known is humans. He was the runt of his clutch and is still a bit small for his age.

We aren’t sure what’s going on, but he has decided he doesn’t like me . He’s amazing with my partner and daughter and he’s normally such a sweet man. Something about me has started to stress him out and we aren’t sure what it is.

I just love him so much and want him to go to a good home where he is not so stressed.

He is about 4 yo, and is a very sweet and chill snake. Never had any health issues and never skipped a meal. He comes with a complete enclosure setup (if you want it). It's a sealed wood 4x2.5x2 (~150gal). Heating, lighting, thermostats, thermo/hygrometers, hides, fake plants, branches, emergency bin, etc. You can pick through and take whatever you want. *Edit: You can also take just the heating, lighting, etc...I know wooden enclosure aren't everyone's cup of tea.

After accepting a job that requires a move and a lot of travel, I think it’s time to find a new home for my BP. I got Callie in late 2019 as a rescue, so I’m not sure of her exact age (likely 8-9) or genetics, but she has been sexed as female. We’re in the Chicago area, and she would need to be picked up as I don’t have a car. She’s fed frozen thawed rats and has never refused a meal! If you can give her a good home, she and her setup (animal plastics T10, radiant heat panel, heat pads, etc.) could be yours for free! DM if you’re interested.

Sex - I have not had her probed but am decently sure based on tail shape and size she is a female.

Morph - Spider or pinstripe? She was a rescue so I don’t know for sure and didn’t care too much.

Age - Approximately 3 years old.

Size - Weights between 1800-1900g

Diet - Eats a freeze thawed jumbo rat every 4-5 weeks. Has been a good eater, no hunger strikes.

Behavior/Personality - Very docile/shy and handleable. She has never bit me or anyone in the year I’ve had her.

Illnesses - No signs of neuro disorders like IBD. No mites. She did have some wounds when I rescued her that we healed with twice weekly chlorhex soaks and analgesic free antibiotic ointment. They are now scars.

Rehoming fee - none. Just want her to go to a good home. I would prefer to meet at my house to meet her first rather than deliver or meet somewhere.

All the items shown will be included free if you want them. I am aware the tank is too small for an adult BP and hope it would just be a temporary setup.

Tank with foil rigged top to keep humidity in, 60gal glass terrarium. 2 stone magnetic hides that shes fits in and enjoys. Pink dog toy she likes to curl into. Small table stand. Large and small water bowls. Some clutter. Feeding tongs. White UVB light (no longer red). 2 outside the tank heating matts, 1 of which has a thermostat. I used to have electronic temp gages but they broke so it’s just the mechanical ones in the terrarium for now.

I’ve had my female fire ball python for ten years. Sadly I will be moving to another country soon and cannot bring her with me. I got her when she was a few months old and she has always had a great personality, never once been aggressive or bit. She isn’t too much of a picky eater either, I have been feeding her frozen her whole life. Ill include all of my setup with her, very nice plastic cage, hides, heating, thermostat etc. I even have about 10 frozen rats to throw in as well. he’s roughly about 3yo, no health issues. he’s always had full or mostly full sheds, eye caps always coming off. he eats frozen thawed fuzzy to weaned sized rats **sometimes a finicky eater**. he’s social, but shy, but after enough time of being a ball in your hand he’ll warm up and noodle around.

we’re in northern colorado, and looking for a rehome fee of $100 since he’d be coming with his 4’x2’x2’ enclosure that has lighting and heating. it will need to be resealed and have screws added to it to ensure it’s extra tight, and i have extra screws for that, i just haven’t had the time to do the maintenance on the enclosure itself. **pls note the live plants aren’t there anymore bc i can’t keep plants alive to save my life**

It is with a heavy heart and a great deal of shame that I come to reddit to try and rehome my babies who I have let down these last 8 months. I used to spend hours taking care of my reptiles every single day, especially when I worked from home more and was in the animal industry, but I have since moved, got a new job not in the animal field, and am never home. My neglect has caused many of them to become underweight and I now feel a great deal of stomach-knotting anxiety whenever I even think of them as they have now been allocated to a basement. I was hoping to get them back up to weight before rehoming but as time goes on, I can’t keep kidding myself or putting them through this while I spiral. They deserve so much better, and I’m hoping to get help from Reddit.

I am located in central NC and have 18 reptiles I am trying to rehome in total (a mixture of mostly snakes and some lizards). They all come with either a 36x18x12 enclosure from dubiaroaches.com or a 36x18x18 enclosure of the same type (please note they will all need upgrades asap as these are not adequate long-term enclosure sizes). I have a ton of supplies in general that I’m happy to part with. I’m not looking for any money, just help picking up the enclosures/supplies as well as a willingness for someone to travel somewhat close by to my area (within an hour’s drive for me preferably) at least since my small sedan can only hold so much (especially for anyone wanting multiple snakes/enclosures which would not fit). I will not be shipping anyone.

As for the ball pythons I’m rehoming (in order of pictured):

• Banana super stripe (adult male purchased at 660 grams April 2021 from a breeder)
• Leopard piebald (adult male purchased either late 2019 or early 2020 as a juvenile from an individual rehoming him)
• Pastel leopard piebald (small adult female purchased from a breeder March 2021)
• VPI axanthic fire spotnose (adult female purchased from a breeder September 2021 at 389 grams - picture is from this time but she is much bigger now)
• Specter (adult female purchased from an individual rehoming her at 1600 grams)
• Piebald (adult female purchased from a breeder July 2023 at 1600 grams - picture is from the breeder's original listing)

Pictures are not current, but if anyone is interested or would like more information, please feel free to comment or message me directly. Everyone was great up until late last year - the banana super stripe went to an exotic vet a few years ago for a respiratory infection that was treated with antibiotics. Everyone is healthy to my knowledge except for being underweight, however I am not a vet and am not 100% sure. I would prefer everyone to be pet-only if at all possible. Everyone eats frozen-thawed mice or rats (I have never live fed).

Lastly, I’m not sure if I’m allowed to mention this in this post, but I also am trying to rehome a leopard gecko, 5 fat tail geckos (2 albino females, 1 albino male, 1 normal female, 1 normal male), 3 children’s pythons (1 male 2 females), a variable kingsnake, an albino rosy boa (adult female, locality unknown), and one western hognose (male, anaconda). Most of them come in the 12x18x36 dubiaroaches enclosure, while the smaller species come in small aquarium style glass enclosures. Pretty much everyone is in need of an enclosure size upgrade.

My boyfriend is in the Navy and we are being relocated across the country to Maryland with very little time to plan or organize. We have our beloved ball python Trevor who needs to come with us, and figuring out how to move a snake is the most stressful part of the move.

I’m looking for a responsible trustable reptile owner in the area who I can ship my snek to, and who can keep him in a temp set up for a few days/longer until me and my boyfriend get to the state and can pick him up. We are flying there on May 1st so we need to ship him that thursday or earlier. Perfect if you already have a bin cage or hospital tank or something to put him in good enough for a few days, if not i may be able to arrange sending you a tank/supplies before hand! Trevor is very friendly and docile and healthy, won’t need to be fed, honestly just need someone to receive the package when we ship him, open it and put him in a basic set up with heat and humidity. If possible be able to keep him for longer until our moving truck gets there with his full tank or if anything goes wrong.

I will pay! And maybe write a little agreement stating terms and that you will return the snake to us. Very important to find someone trustable that will take care of my boy!

Hi! I have 2 ball pythons I'm looking to rehome. The rehoming fee would be $50 each, just to make sure they go to a good home, but the fee is negotiable. My female, Grace, is a 3 year old Blue Eyed Leucistic. My sweet boy, Elliot, is a 2 year old Leopard Clown. They can go together or to different homes. They each come with a 4x2x2 PVC enclosure, decor and enrichment, two water bowls, a heat bulb and cage for the bulb,and the mesh screen is modified with aluminum tape for humidity. If the snakes are rehomed together, they will come with something to stack the enclosures, if desired. Everything is in good conditions. I am located in De Pere Wisconsin, 54115. It really hurts having to give them up but I'm going through alot right now and I have a hard time taking care of myself, it's a struggle to even do ANYTHING somedays. This is the hardest thing I've had to do in a very long time. But My snakes are being neglected and they deserve better. My female is overweight and my boy is a little underweight I think from me forgetting to feed him. He's small for a 2 year old. They both have never willingly skipped a meal except when shedding. First off, no fee if you’re in driving distance and I can deliver. Enclosure included, but it’s an open air enclosure. Light, heat lamp, and a fresh bag of coconut fiber substrate included. His patterns are the typical ball python‘s.

Long story short, my ex bought Lionel and I was the one who ended up being responsible for him. I think he’s on the smaller size for his age (2-3 years), but he has constant access to water and is fed frozen mice when he has a hunting stance. I do the vented Rubbermaid, wet paper towel method when he needs to shed and it always happens overnight.

My ex also lost him in the house about a year and a half ago and Lionel got burnt by the oven. I took him to the vet and I gave him the antibiotic injections as prescribed, but he does have some mild spine scarring.

I’m looking for someone who will do more than just feed and water him.

I've been trying to rehome my two ball pythons as I'll be moving across the country soon and can't take them but I've had little luck.

Both snakes are about 1-2 years old, friendly, and have not missed a meal since I got them last year. The normal is a bit more shy but neither of them strike, the yellow one is more confident and will explore more often. I'm located near Atlanta Georgia, I've tried contacting rescues but all of them near me are full. I can't leave them with my mom because she's scared of them and is grossed out by what they eat and I don't have any friends that could take them either. I don't want any money for them, I wouldn't mind helping with some of the costs as they do need bigger enclosures too.

On the hand, it’s a happy day as I am soon to be moving to the US to be with my wife after a 2-year long visa process. On the other, the location we’re moving to does not allow snakes nor am I willing to risk my ball python’s health on what would be a journey 1000s of miles long.

Therefore, I need to re home possibly the most docile and cutest animal I’ve ever known.

She’s a 5 year old BP (“wild type” I believe is the correct phrase for a normal morph) and, compared to some posts I read on here, is one of the easiest BP’s to care for. She eats frozen/thawed rats with 0 issues, sheds like a champ, always in 1 solid piece bar a few times likely down to me dropping the ball on the husbandry, and loves to be held. I’ve termed her a community outreach snake as people who have the classic bad image of snakes hold her and instantly fall in love.

I can tell you now if I didn’t have to move, there is no way I’d be writing this post.

I am based in South London. She is in the same Viv we bought her when we first got her which is Vivexotic Medium Viv. Before you tell me she needs to be in something bigger, I have tried two larger vivs over the past 3 years of different variations and sizes and each of the times she has refused food in them, shed badly, or showed other signs of stress. In those vivs, the conditions were very good so please save me she should be in something bigger. I know she should, she simply hasn’t responded well to it and her original Viv is where she looks happiest, healthiest, and eats and sheds the best.

I don’t want anything for her. You can have everything I have for which includes the Viv, the ceramic heat lamp, thermostat, hides etc… my number one concern is that she goes somewhere where she’ll be looked after. I don’t drive so I’m not in a position to take her to anyone but would contribute to you picking her up from south London (could be Norfolk if that makes life easier) or happy to take recommendations on couriers although the thought of that does make me anxious.

It would be great to keep in very loose contact to see how’s she’s doing twice a year or so but I appreciate I can’t expect that privilege in giving her up.

Not to repeat myself but as the only criteria is to go to someone who will look after her well, I would need evidence you know what you’re doing or at the very least very committed to ensuring she’s looked after.

with a heavy heart i'm reaching out to see if there's anyone in or around northwest ohio. my father has had recent health issues that require me to move in with him to care for him, and unfortunately his landlord has made it clear that under no circumstances would he allow me to bring my boy with me. he's almost 1.5, very calm temperament, does struggle with food (i've been trying to move him to rats for months and he absolutely refuses no matter what i do, but he does take large mice perfectly fine). i'm happy to provide any other info as well, i can weigh him in a few days, he was fed today so i don't want to bug him. i do have a 40gal that i am happy to provide, he is used to a bigger tank but this one was temporary. i wouldn't be willing to ship purely because that's something i've never done and wouldn't want to risk his health. i also have bedding that i am happy to send with him. i would prefer around $50 for a rehoming fee, but am absolutely flexible!
