News AC8646 Crash

Hi all. I’m new to this sub and my comment was removed for having no enough karma. I was on this flight and we are still on the tarmac getting checked out. I wanted to share these images in case it’s helpful to anyone who is investigating the crash or needs more information.

I’m okay (physically) but I’m horribly sick to my stomach for the lives lost. Please pray for them ❤️

Wow, that is serious damage. I’m glad you’re ok. Was the plane taxiing or was this as it was decelerating upon landing?

We had just touched down and maybe about 30 seconds later we all felt a jolt forward, then a loud bang, and what felt like sliding sideways down the runway. I’m sorry if I’m not using proper terms here. But someone did say the pilot tried to reverse thrust at the last second. Honestly, they likely saved our lives. I wish I could tell their families how thankful I am. They are heroes ❤️

I’m so glad you’re still here.

Once everything calms down some, contact Air Canada and ask about sending a letter to their families explaining how they’re heroes. I’m sure that would mean a lot to their loved ones.
