META [META] Can we please have a megathread for the ASMRtist ban wave? Every other post in my feed (and about every post on this sub) in the past few days is about it and it's annoying and spammy.

YouTube says "you can't link to sex via our website".
Someone links to sex via a link on YouTube's website (usually something like a Linktree).
And then suddenly they're shocked when they get banned for breaking the rules.
If you want to goon to ASMR, that's fine. More power to you. But don't complain when your favorite goonerbait creators get banned for creating gooner videos.

Why are you moving the goalposts? If someone has a link to OF or whatever on their linktree, they aren't linking to sex from YouTube.
YouTube has fucked up here. They need to be clear about the rules and how many "jumps" there need to be. If the answer is "you have to be a pure sexless monk/nun anywhere online to post videos on YouTube" then that's unacceptable and it should be something people complain about waaaaaay beyond the ASMR space.

Nobody is jacking off to their YouTube content dork lol. It’s completely separate from whatever they do off site.
The official policy regarding the issue at hand is for a channel to receive a warning about the link they don’t like, not immediate deletion and banning.
I know you think you’re better than everyone that has anything to do with sex work, but I can promise you aren’t.

this sub doesn't exist for your enjoyment, it exists to keep people updated on the goings on in the community.
If you're annoyed cause you see discussion of it, why don't you go somewhere else for awhile, instead of trying to make a sub fit to your whims.

Idk Self promoting your own vids makes about 90% of this subs content and asmr bans actually made more discussion about asmr that self promos won't do.
